BREAKING: Anti-Trump DA Could Be DISBARRED

(SNews) – Former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz went on Fox News star Maria Bartiromo’s show where he said Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg could his law license if he went through with charging former President Donald Trump.

Alan said that if the Manhattan district attorney uses Michael Cohen’s testimony to try to get Trump the move could backfire and get him disbarred. Alan said:

“I don’t think an indictment can actually come forward now after the comments made by Costello. He has proved that the main witness is going to be a perjuring liar on the witness stand. And that puts the District Attorney in a terrible position. If he uses Cohn as a witness, he could actually lose his bar license.

“It’s unethical to put a witness on the stand who you know is lying, and he has to know that Cohen will be lying.

“The title of my book, I Didn’t invent it, “Get Trump.” It comes from a campaign pledge made by the Attorney General of New York when she was running for reelection. She promised that if she were elected, she would, quote, “Get Trump.”

“And Bragg said the same thing. They both promised they would get Trump.

“Then they said, let’s rummage through the statute books and see what we can find. And they rubbished. And they couldn’t find anything.

“They couldn’t find a statutory violation. So they made one up that was beyond the statute of limitations. “That involved combining a misdemeanor, that never occurred, with a federal felony or maybe a state felony.

“This is the worst example of prosecutorial abuse of discretion I have seen in my 60 years of practicing criminal law.

“That’s why I wrote Trump – not about Trump, it’s about us. Because today it’s Trump, tomorrow it’s a Democrat. The day after tomorrow it’s your Uncle Charlie and your nephew and your niece.

“Maybe grand jurors would finally wake up and say ‘No, we’re not ham sandwiches here. We’re gonna stand up for the law and the law says you don’t indict under these circumstances.”

Alan said on Tucker Carlson’s show:

“Well, first of all, I just got a tweet or a note from Donald Trump himself, in which he endorsed my book, urges everybody read it, but he says, ‘Alan enjoys saying, I didn’t vote for Trump. I believe he probably did. He just uses that phrase for added credibility, but it doesn’t matter. He’s a brilliant guy, and you should read his book.’

“No, I didn’t.

“I never mix politics and my constitutional analysis.

“My book ‘Get Trump’ is a book about lying. It’s all about lying.

“It’s about the four lies that have resulted in four investigations, including doctoring a tape, which is, of course, what the January 6 Committee did when it left out the words ‘peacefully and patriotically.’

“It’s about Michael Cohen, who may be the world’s biggest liar.

“He gets all the Pinocchios, and the district attorney has making a very hard decision now.

“Does he put his bar at risk, his bar certificate at risk, by putting on the stand the man he knows is going to lie in violation of the rules of ethics?

“So, it’s all about lying.

“My book, ‘Get Trump’ documents lie after lie.

“The left — the so-called liberals, they’re not liberals, they’re radicals.

“Nobody will do anything — stretch the Constitution, destroy the Constitution to prevent Trump from running for President.”

BREAKING: Judge Hands CRUSHING Defeat To Conservatives

(CBrief) – A Pennsylvania judge has dismissed a lawsuit by the Republican National Committee seeking to prevent counties from assisting voters to fix minor technical issues on their mail-in ballots that would prevent them from being counted.

The judge dismissed the case on Thursday saying that county courts, not a state court, would have jurisdiction.

“The lawsuit, filed in the statewide Commonwealth Court, had argued that state law prevents what is known as ballot curing and, as a result, must be barred by the court. But Commonwealth Court Judge Ellen Ceisler agreed with lawyers for the state’s Democratic administration and ruled that county courts have jurisdiction in the matter, not a state court, because counties have the authority under state law to make rules, regulations, and instructions necessary to run an election,” Fox News reported.

“Ballot curing has been practiced primarily by Democratic-leaning counties in Pennsylvania. It includes notifying voters that they forgot to do things like date or sign their ballot envelope and gives them the opportunity to come into a county office and fix it before polls close,” the outlet added. “The state’s lawyers also argued that no state law bars ballot curing. Lawyers for Democratic Party groups that intervened in the case called it a ‘win for voters.’”

Mail-in voting has been a bone of contention for Republicans as it heavily has favored Democrat candidates.

This month a former county elections commissioner in New York has pleaded guilty to applying for absentee ballots in the names of other registered voters.

“Jason Schofield, age 43, of Troy, New York, pled guilty today to unlawfully using the names and dates of birth of voters to fraudulently apply for absentee ballots for elections held in Rensselaer County in 2021. The announcement was made by United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Janeen DiGuiseppi, Special Agent in Charge of the Albany Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Schofield was an Elections Commissioner at the Rensselaer County Board of Elections (“RCBOE”) until late last month, when he resigned in anticipation of today’s guilty plea,” JD Supra reported.

“In pleading guilty to a 12-count indictment, Schofield admitted that in 2021, he unlawfully possessed and used the names and dates of birth of voters in connection with 12 absentee ballot applications he electronically submitted in the voters’ names to the New York State Voter Absentee Ballot Application Request Portal. Schofield admitted that for each application, he falsely certified that he was the voter requesting the ballot. He also admitted that he took personal possession of 9 of these ballots, while knowing and intending that RCBOE records would falsely reflect that the ballots had been mailed to the voters,” the outlet added.

“Sentencing is scheduled for May 12, 2023, before United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino. On each count, Schofield faces up to 5 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and a term of post-imprisonment supervised release of up to 3 years. A defendant’s sentence is imposed by a judge based on the particular statute the defendant is charged with violating, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors. Schofield’s plea agreement required that he immediately resign from the RCBOE,” the outlet continued.

Earlier this year, the FBI arrested Schofield over allegations of an absentee ballot fraud scheme and he was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel J. Stewart.

He was charged with unlawfully using the names and dates of birth of voters to fraudulently apply for absentee ballots for elections held in Rensselaer County in 2021.

Schofield, a Republican, was released on his own recognizance until his trial scheduled before U.S. District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino.

“He is accused of unlawfully possessing and using the names and dates of birth of voters in connection with absentee ballot applications that he submitted to a New York State Board of Elections website in 2021. The indictment alleges that Schofield applied for absentee ballots in the names of people who had no interest in voting in 2021 and did not request absentee ballots or Schofield’s assistance in voting or obtaining absentee ballots,” Fox News reported.

“In some of these instances, the indictment explained, Schofield also took possession of the absentee ballots issued to these voters, brought them to voters, and had them sign absentee ballot envelopes without actually voting. This allegedly allowed Schofield or another person to cast votes in these voters’ names in Rensselaer County’s 2021 primary and general elections,” the outlet added.

“If convicted, Schofield would face up to 5 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and a term of post-imprisonment supervised release of up to 3 years on each of the 12 counts,” the report continued.

JUST IN: Epstein Lawyer SHOCKS Reporter

(CBrief) – Well-known lawyer Alan Dershowitz, whose client list formerly included the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, made headlines recently during a tense interview.

Dershowitz made an appearance on the Kim Iverson Show and things were going fine until Iverson asked Epstein, who killed himself in 2019.

Iversen began the interview by asking about the Manhattan grand jury case against former President Donald Trump over the alleged “hush money” payment he made to an adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016, which was related to the alleged affair they had back in 2006.

Things took a turn when Iverson asked Dershowitz about his association with Epstein.

“Are you used to having people come on your show to talk about one subject and then sandbagging them on another subject without any warning?” Dershowitz asked as he was clearly upset. “This is the last time you’ll have me on your show.”

“I think I got what I needed out of you,” Iverson replies.

Dershowitz was also asked about Epstein killing himself.

“No. of course not— Wait, um, he didn’t kill himself without the help of some people. He killed himself with the help of um, guards.”

BREAKING: Manhattan DA CANCELS Trump Grand Jury Session

(SNews) – The Grand Jury deciding President Donald Trump’s fate has been canceled again today amid reports that embattled Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is scrambling to keep his case alive.

According to reports, George Soros-funded Bragg does not have enough votes for an indictment.

A meeting of the New York grand jury looking into Trump’s alleged hush-money payments, scheduled to take place on Thursday, was postponed again.

The next time the grand jury could meet is Monday, according to multiple media reports.

NewsNation said, “the delayed meeting, which was first postponed on Wednesday, means a possible indictment won’t come down until next week at the earliest, if at all.

“The jury usually meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.”

According to RadarOnline:

“The grand jury weighing charges again embattled ex-president Donald Trump was told to stay home again on Thursday, RadarOnline.com can confirm, meaning the jury will not meet again until Monday at the earliest.

“The cancellation of the jury’s session on Thursday came one day after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg already ordered those on the panel to stay home on Wednesday for unknown reasons.

SHOCK: Music Star Found Dead After Criticizing Putin

(SNews) – Russian music star Dima Nova has been found dead after apparently “drowning” on Sunday, according to reports.

34-year-old Nova, real name Dmitry Svirgunov, was a vocal critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Nova’s popular electronic group Cream Soda released an anti-war song that called out Putin and became an anthem among those opposed to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In the song, the pop group calls out Putin for owning a mansion allegedly worth $1.3 billion while much of Russia lives in poverty, according to Newsweek.

The song was commonly heard at protests against the country both before and after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

These protests became known as “Aqua Disco Parties.”

According to the song’s lyrics, “[Aqua disco]” is a wild hedonistic pool party for one,” Calvertjournal.com reported.

One of the lyrics reads: “The king of leisure,/ I will feel super here.”

Another reads: “Aqua Disco,/ Here I am by the word super,/ Add duper.”

The report cited an article in a Russian news website People Talk that said Nova fell through the ice while crossing the Volga river in the Yaroslavl region, northeast of Moscow.

Nova was not alone, however, and was reportedly with his brother Roma and a couple of friends, who all died.

Cream Soda posted on Instagram about the death of Nova and one of the other people who died in the incident.

The translated caption states: “An official introduction took place today at 9:00.

“Dima and Goshi are no more.”

“We had a tragedy last night,” the pop group’s post explained.

“Our Dima Nova, in the company of friends, was walking along the Volga and fell under the ice.”

“The Ministry of Emergency Situations is still looking for his brother Roma and friend, Gosha Kiselev,” it added.

“Aristarchus, our friend who also fell under the ice, was caught, but could not be saved.

“As soon as we have information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, we will inform you.”

“Aqua Disco” was not only heard at protests against Russia in the early days of the war but also at demonstrations against the jailing of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in 2021, the outlet noted.

At the time, thousands of protestors were arrested by police during the protests, which were not sanctioned by Russian officials, the report noted.

SHOCK VIDEO: Violent Mob Terrorizes San Francisco Mall

(TStarnes) – Shoppers in San Francisco are terrified after roaming gangs of thugs have terrorized malls across the Bay Area.

San Francisco police told Fox News Digital in a statement that three separate incidents took place at the Stonestown Galleria mall from March 15 to March 17.

“Over the past couple of weeks, there have altercations between young folks at Stonestown mall resulting in physical injuries,” District 7 Supervisor Myrna Melgar posted on Twitter on Sunday.

“Stonestown private security was overwhelmed and SFPD officers were deployed. Videos of the altercations have been posted and promoted on Instagram live.”

The police department said all of the thugs are teenagers.

“On Friday, several youths were pepper sprayed by other youth,” the department said. “Officers responded to the scene and the youth dispersed from the area. Officers discovered one youth suffering from injuries as a result of the physical altercation.”

Store owners and workers are terrified of the thugs and thugettes.

“I’m very scared,” food court vendor Guang Wei, who witnessed one of the fights at the food court, told CBS Bay Area. “I cannot continue to do business here in this kind of environment.”

And Mayor London Breed seems unable to summon the courage to order up more police officers.

“There are no excuses for violence, but there are steps we can take to prevent this kind of behavior from taking hold in our schools and our City,” Mayor Breed said in a lengthy joint press release with the San Francisco Unified School District on Tuesday, addressing steps being taken to address juvenile crime in the city.

“As City leaders, we are committed to working together with the School District to make sure our kids are safe and have the support they need, especially after the incredible strain on our young people caused by the last few years.”

WATCH: DeSantis Sounds Off On Trump’s Arrest

(CBrief) – Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis weighed in Monday on the looming indictment and potential arrest of former President Donald Trump.

“So I’ve seen rumors swirl. I have not seen any facts yet, so I don’t know what’s gonna happen. But I do know this, the Manhattan District Attorney is a Soros-funded prosecutor. And so he, like other Soros-funded prosecutors, they weaponize their office to impose a political agenda on society at the expense of the rule of law and public safety,” DeSantis said at a press conference.

“He has downgraded over 50% of the felonies to misdemeanors,” DeSantis continued. “He says he doesn’t want to even have jail time for the vast, vast majority of crimes. And what we’ve seen in Manhattan is we’ve seen the crime rate go up and we’ve seen citizens become less safe.”

“And so you’re talking about this situation with, and look, I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair,” he added. “I just, I can’t speak to that, but what I can speak to is that if you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction, and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star ‘hush money’ payments, you know, that’s an example of pursuing a political agenda and weaponizing the office.’

“And I think that that’s fundamentally wrong,” he remarked. “I also think it’s important to point out when you’re talking about these Soros-funded prosecutors, yes, they may do a high profile politicized prosecution and that’s bad. But the real victims are ordinary New Yorkers, ordinary Americans, and all these different jurisdictions that they get victimized every day because of the reckless political agenda that these Soros DAs bring to their job. They ignore crime and they empower criminals. And that hurts people, hurts a lot of people every single day.”

“The Soros district attorneys are a menace to society, and I’m just glad that I’m the only governor in the country that’s actually removed one from office during my tenure,” he noted.

“We won’t be involved in this,” he added. “I have no interest in getting involved in some type of manufactured circus by some Soros DA… He’s trying to do a political spectacle. He’s trying to virtue signal for his base. I’ve got real issues I got to deal with here in FL.”

WATCH:

News broke on Friday that New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg is close to indicting Trump over hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 campaign, allegedly to keep her quiet about an affair the two of them had in 2006.

A lawyer for Donald Trump described the most likely scenario at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago estate should he be indicted this week by a Manhattan grand jury.

The attorney stated that Trump would not resist and would surrender to authorities in the event of an indictment in Bragg’s investigation into the alleged hush-money agreement.

“There won’t be a standoff at Mar-a-Lago with Secret Service and the Manhattan DA’s office,” Joe Tacopina said. He suggested that Trump, whom he characterized as a survivor, would utilize any charges brought against him to his political advantage in the long run.

“Most people would collapse under the weight of this,” he said. “He seems to turn everything into a positive and everything into a boost for his campaign, so I’m sure this will just join that long list of things that people think no one could overcome, but he will.”

Former Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy also slammed NY DA Bragg’s “hypocritical” decision not to prosecute certain crimes amid his current case against Trump.

“On his first day in office, New York’s District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced all the crimes he would not prosecute. The person elected as the top law enforcement official had a long list of laws he didn’t respect enough to follow. He substituted his politics for the rule of law because that is what so-called progressive prosecutors do. There was nary a word of decent on the left. Felonies would be downgraded, serious cases dismissed or pled down, and prison terms would rarely be solved,” Gowdy began.

“Alvin Bragg was a social engineer masquerading as a prosecutor. To some on the left, showing a photo ID to vote is anti-democratic, but apparently not a prosecutor who ignores the law. And yet, we have finally stumbled upon the one crime worth the full weight of Alvin Bragg’s office. Forget about guns and robbery and acts of violence. What really gets his attention is paying someone to be quiet about sex. To be clear, Alvin Bragg will not prosecute people who pay for sex — that is one the crimes he promised to ignore. To him, you can pay someone for sex in New York and get away with it, but God forbid you pay someone to be quiet about it afterward,” he added.

SHCOK: NY Gov Wants To Forcibly QUARANTINE Citizens

(SNews) – New York’s Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul is demanding that the courts grant her authorization to detain citizens in “quarantine camps” against their will.

Hochul has gone back to court seeking permission to detain New Yorkers in quarantine camps.

The move would see citizens placed in the camps without notice, detained without rights, and held for as long as state health officials decide.

The plan also has no age limits, meaning children could be taken from their families.

The fight arose during the pandemic when New York officials decided they would adopt a new rule giving the state exactly that power.

The detention camps are part of Gov. Hochul’s “Isolation and Quarantine Procedures” scheme.

A lawsuit, filed in April 2022, ensued, and the result was that the detention plan was ruled unconstitutional.

Judge Ronald Ploetz responded to the lawsuit weeks later and ruled that the strategy didn’t meet the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

According to a report from lawyer Bobbie Anne Flower Cox at the Brownstone Institute, Hochul, through Attorney General Letitia James, is now appealing the court’s rejection of her plan.

“The case, Borrello v. Hochul, which we won last July, was brought against the governor and her Department of Health, on behalf of a group of NYS Legislators, Senator George Borrello, Assemblyman Chris Tague, Assemblyman (now Congressman) Mike Lawler, together with our citizens’ group, Uniting NYS,” Cox said in a statement.

“The main premise of the case was a breach of Separation of Powers – meaning the governor and her Department of Health did not have the authority to make their dystopian ‘Isolation and Quarantine Procedures’ regulation.”

The rule “allowed the Department of Health to pick and choose which New Yorkers they could lock up or lockdown, with no proof that you were ever even exposed to, let alone actually sick with, a communicable disease,” Cox explained.

“They could have locked you down in your home, or they could have removed you from your home and forced you to quarantine in a facility of their choosing.”

The rule would allow state authorities to detain people in the camps with no time limits, no appeal, no age limits, and no rights at all, the report explained.

“You could have received a knock at the door from your local police or sheriff telling you that you had to go with them… by order of the Health Department,” she said.

“Furthermore, the regulation had no procedure by which you could be released from quarantine, no way for you to try to negotiate your way out.”

“Interestingly, they did not file their appeal to try to overturn this horrific regulation before that crucial election,” the lawyer said.

The plaintiffs in the case released a statement expressing their disappointment in the state’s pursuit of such an extreme plan.

“The constitutional separation of powers and the right of due process are principles that cannot be compromised,” the statement said.

“This case has been on solid ground from the start and Judge Plotez’s ruling only confirmed that. The notion that a state agency could unilaterally adopt a policy that mandates authoritarian-style isolation and quarantine procedures would have been unimaginable a few short years ago.

“The unconstitutional power grab must be stopped in its tracks.”

Dr. Naomi Wolf, a former political advisor to the presidential campaigns of Bill Clinton and Al Gore, is campaigning against Hochul’s plans.

Wolf blasted the efforts during an appearance on “Real America’s Voice.”

“You’d think that’s an imaginary headline, but it’s 100% accurate,” Wolf said.

WATCH: Liberal Comedian RIPS San Francisco’s ‘Crazy’ Reparations Plan

(SNews) – “Real Time” host Bill Maher has slammed San Francisco’s “crazy” reparations plan.

The plan would give African American residents millions of dollars, homes for $1, and a tax-free life.

Maher had former presidential candidate Andrew Yang and Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) on his show last night.

Maher asked them if the reparation proposal is going “too far,” saying it’s “quite a lot” to hand out $5 million to anyone who qualifies.

Maher said: “I mean it seems like, you know, when people ask why are you talking against the woke craziness- because it’s crazy. Isn’t that crazy? And by the way, San Francisco doesn’t have a history of slavery or anything like that, you know.

“It would cost every citizen left $600,000 each.

“This is madness, is it not?”

“Even I didn’t go this far,” Yang joked about his 2020 campaign pledge to give everyone a universal basic income.

He continued:

“We have a lot of people at various stages of public office who are putting out bills and policies that are more for the messaging and stoking the fires on social media than actually trying to get something passed.”

Maher said of the recent bank collapses:

“And interest rates spiked because of inflation, that’s why they had to — okay, so, when uncle sugar was very generous during COVID, that was the result of that.

“That’s what caused the inflation — a lot of what caused the inflation.

“You cannot put $6 trillion that you don’t have in people’s pockets and not expect some inflation.

“That’s what caused this rate hike and so, it’s all connected.”

Maher then called out the University of Michigan saying the college has “142” DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) staff members on its payroll.

He said:

“That’s a lot, is it not? Has it become a cottage industry?

“I mean, is it something where these are jobs now?

“And these people ever gonna want to give up their jobs?”

BACKFIRE: CNN Hits ROCK BOTTOM

(SNews) – CNN’s ratings have hit new lows as the embattled network tries desperately to stop the ship from sinking.

The network is in a ratings freefall and every move they make backfires as the viewer numbers continue to plunge.

Further major shakeups will be looming as CNN’s hosts fail to pull in an audience.

February marked CNN’s lowest-rated month in a decade.

CNN had an average primetime audience of 122,000 viewers in the key advertising demographic, compared to Fox News Channel’s 299,000 and MSNBC’s 119,000.

Fox News dominated prime time with 2.262 million viewers followed by MSNBC with 1.165 million viewers. CNN had only 587,000 viewers.

Fox News had 94 of the 100 most-watched shows in February which marked two consecutive years as the highest-rated network in cable news.

So CNN made some big changes to its primetime lineup that backfired according to media reports.

A CNN spokesperson ripped the reports saying: “We have been experimenting out in the open for all of 2.5 weeks.

“So despite being deemed ‘a failure’ by the Beast’s team of programming whizzes and the competitor who pitched this story, we’ll find the strength to power on.”

According to Yahoo:

Since implementing that formula late last month, however, CNN has yet to see viewers embrace the new direction.

In fact, CNN’s primetime specials have attracted a smaller audience than the network’s regular programming in that same time slot this year.

Since the start of the year, CNN has averaged 679,000 total viewers in the 9 p.m. time slot whenever Anderson Cooper, whose nightly program airs at 8 p.m., has anchored the hour.

Prior to Cuomo’s move to primetime a few years ago, Anderson Cooper 360 was a two-hour news show. Additionally, 7 p.m.

CNN anchor Erin Burnett has averaged an overall audience of 567,000 when filling in during the primetime slot.

Cooper also has averaged 159,000 viewers in the key advertising 25-54 demographic during his 9 p.m. broadcasts, while Burnett has pulled in 114,000 in the demo.

By comparison, the network’s special town-hall events that have aired in the 9 p.m. hour since late February have attracted only 429,000 total viewers and 101,000 in the key demographic.

And Don Lemon’s show saw another shakeup.

According to The New York Post

CNN tapped two veteran executive producers on Monday to oversee Don Lemon’s ratings-challenged and controversy-marred “CNN This Morning.”

Longtime CNN producer Lauren Mensch and Chris Russell, who recently was the executive producer for NewsNation’s “On Balance with Leland Vittert,” will grab the reins from Eric Hall, according to the cable news network.
