The White House has announced that John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 campaign manager, will be replacing John Kerry as the “climate czar” for President Joe Biden. When Biden took office in 2021, he established the position of “U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate,” which many consider unnecessary, unregulated, and unelected. Kerry, Biden’s old friend, was appointed to this taxpayer-funded role, where he traveled the world on private jets to lecture the public about “global warming.”
However, Kerry recently announced his resignation from the position to focus on Biden’s re-election campaign. Despite the three years since its creation, it remains unclear what Kerry has achieved in this role, except for the wasteful expenditure of taxpayer money.
Nevertheless, Biden has chosen to replace Kerry with another unelected bureaucrat, John Podesta, a longtime Clintonite and former Chief of Staff to Bill Clinton. Last year, Biden also created the position of “clean energy czar” for Podesta, who uses it to lecture the public on “climate change.” Podesta himself has admitted that Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act” is essentially the Marxist Green New Deal, repackaged under a different name.
“We have to cut the carbon pollution that’s driving the climate crisis and that’s what the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ is all about!” Podesta said last August.
Podesta then made the absurd claim that most Americans support crazy new climate regulations.
“Across the political spectrum, they support the movement to cleaner forms of energy, cleaner forms of transportation!” Podesta said.
Hey look! John Podesta’s back. And he’s lecturing us about climate change!
