But he was trailing in April by six points and he’s trailing by six points now,” Enten said. “And I just think you have to take back a step and look at where we were four years ago at this point. Joe Biden was leading Donald Trump by nine points. This is just a completely different race, one in which Donald Trump has led basically continuously, at least during 2024, and one in which his lead, if anything, is holding or even getting larger right now, high single-digits.”

“And I think there’s, of course, the big question, is: could another Democrat do better than Joe Biden against Donald Trump? And this new poll says, or at least suggests, that perhaps they could, because take a look here. Yes, Joe Biden is trailing Donald Trump by six percentage points, but look at this. Versus Kamala Harris, the vice president, it’s just a two-point race with no clear leader,” he continued. “So when I look at polls like this and you see the first call for Joe Biden to get out of the race from a member of Congress on the Democratic side, I don’t think polling like this will stop those calls. I would only expect them to get louder if polling like this holds in other surveys.”

Texas Representative Lloyd Doggett, a Democrat, was the first member of Congress to recommend that President Biden withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. Doggett expressed doubt in the president’s ability to defeat Trump following the debate.

“This is a fight for the center of the electorate,” Enten added. “It’s a fight for independents … Donald Trump leads among independents by 10 points when faced off against Joe Biden. But among independents, those voters that, of course, Donald Trump won in 2016 and then lost in 2020 to Joe Biden, you can see that Kamala Harris is actually ahead by three points. She’s doing better in the center of the electorate.”

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) strongly criticized the “MAGA SCOTUS” on Monday following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of former President Donald Trump in his dispute with January 6th prosecutors. Trump is currently facing charges in Washington, D.C., filed by Special Counsel Jack Smith regarding his actions on January 6, 2021, during the Capitol riots. He contended that he should be shielded from prosecution for his official duties.

According to Breitbart News, the Court determined that presidents are completely immune from criminal prosecution for official duties, but not for unofficial actions, and sent the case back to the trial court for further examination.

Schumer and other Democrats expressed their dismay over the 6-3 decision, with the conservative majority led by Chief Justice John Roberts. Schumer took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize the three justices appointed by Trump:

Chumer has a track record of attempting to intimidate the Supreme Court justices, particularly in 2020, when he warned two recently appointed justices that there would be consequences if they decided to overturn Roe v. According to the findings from the university’s Center for American Institutions, there is a strong emphasis on educating new recruits on social issues like “unconscious bias” and “intersectionality” in a manner that contradicts traditional American values. The study delved into the DEI strategies across different military sectors, including the staffing of DEI offices and educational practices at institutions such as West Point, as reported by The Center Square.

“The massive DEI bureaucracy, its training and its pseudo-scientific assessments are at best distractions that absorb valuable time and resources,” says the executive summary of the study. “At worst they communicate the opposite of the military ethos: e.g. that individual demographic differences come before team and mission.”

Donald Critchlow, the director of the center, highlighted in the introduction of the study that the research sought to analyze the influence of Critical Race Theory on the training programs of the United States Armed Forces.

“The Commission on Civic Education in the Military began as a project to review civic education in the military. Our research team did not expect to find Critical Race Theory so embedded and pervasive. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs are found throughout the U.S. Armed Forces and our service academies,” he wrote. “This year long study documents just how pervasive these training programs are in our Armed Forces and Service Academies and that DEI extends well beyond just formal training programs in the military and service academies.”

“The Founders of our nation understood and feared a politicized military. History had shown them that a politicized army easily became the tool of tyranny. The Armed Forces of the United States has proudly upheld this long tradition of separating mission from politics,” he added.

The study suggests that the Pentagon should eliminate the DEI office going forward, although it recognizes that this is unlikely to happen under Biden’s administration.

“The surest way to eliminate the concerning trends we have identified, and the growth of race and sex-based scapegoating and stereotyping in the U.S. military, is to altogether end the DEI bureaucracy there,” the study says. “However, until such a time as the executive or legislative branches of the government choose to end the DEI bureaucracy in our federal agencies and military, we are left to advocate the pursuit of alternative avenues that may affect positive change despite existing policies.”

Numerous other components of Biden’s domestic agenda include progressive “woke” measures. For example, a recent regulation introduced by the Biden administration in December 2023 aims to withhold lunch funding from public schools that reject or do not adhere to new progressive directives on sexuality and gender, which is expected to anger parents once again.

“Their communications with Facebook were virtual demands,” he wrote, pointing to the White House’s many requests to remove “misinformation” related to COVID-19. “And Facebook’s quavering responses to those demands show that it felt a strong need to yield.”

The majority determined that plaintiffs failed “to link their past social-media restrictions to the [government’s] communications with the platforms” explaining that “the platforms had independent incentives to moderate content and often exercised their own judgment.”

Alito argued that considering Facebook’s refusal to accept certain recommendations from the government as “bad logic” is flawed, as it goes against the evidence presented in internal emails that vividly depict the company’s subservient nature.

“Facebook’s responses resembled that of a subservient entity determined to stay in the good graces of a powerful taskmaster,” Alito wrote. “When criticized, Facebook representatives whimpered that they ‘thought we were doing a better job’ but promised to do more going forward…And when denounced as ‘killing people,’ Facebook responded by expressing a desire to ‘work together collaboratively’ with its accuser.”

Alito argued in favor of maintaining the lower court’s injunction against the government by presenting the evidence pertaining to Jill Hines, a co-director of Health Freedom Louisiana and one of the plaintiffs in the case.

“Hines showed that, when she sued, Facebook was censoring her COVID-related posts and groups,” Alito wrote. “And because the White House prompted Facebook to amend its censorship policies, Hines’s censorship was, at least in part, caused by the White House and could be redressed by an injunction against the continuation of that conduct.”

Federal data reveals that President Joe Biden’s expanded parole system has attracted more than a million migrants to the United States since January 2023. However, a significant flaw has emerged within the administration’s parole pathway, as there is currently no means to track the status of parolees once they enter the country.

According to recent data from Customs and Border Protection (CBP), approximately 460,000 migrants arrived in the U.S. on commercial flights after being granted parole by the Biden administration. An additional 630,000 individuals sought parolee status at ports of entry through the CBP One mobile app. The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) discovered that despite granting parole to tens of thousands of Afghans since 2021, there is no existing system in place to monitor their whereabouts once they arrive in America.

The OIG report raises important questions about whether the administration is effectively keeping track of all individuals who have been granted parole into the U.S. On January 5, 2023, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) introduced a new parole process called the CHNV Parole Process for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans who have a “supporter” in the United States. This process involves vetting migrants and granting them authorization to purchase airline tickets, enabling them to enter the country and receive parole.

During the same month, the Biden administration launched the CBP One mobile app, which serves as a scheduling tool to encourage noncitizens to utilize lawful and safe pathways for entry. DHS has actively encouraged migrants to use the app instead of embarking on dangerous journeys to unlawfully cross between ports of entry. According to the report, over 630,000 migrants have scheduled appointments through the app since its implementation, with more than 44,500 individuals processed in May alone. The majority of migrants utilizing the app for appointments are from Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, and Honduras.

Before the expansion of parole programs in 2023 to manage the migrant influx, the Biden administration had already approved a distinct parole initiative for Afghans after the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal in August 2021.

Under the Operation Allies Welcome (OAW) program, approximately 77,000 Afghans have been allowed entry into the U.S., as per a recent report. A report from May 2024 by OIG revealed that the federal government lacked a system to monitor the parole status of the many migrants. The responsibility of vetting and facilitating the parole of these migrants fell on three DHS offices, which included CBP, USCIS, and ICE, according to OIG. However, the report highlighted that none of these agencies were effectively tracking the expiration of parolees under the OAW.

Since Biden took office, CBP data shows that over 6 million migrants have been encountered at the southern border. Between fiscal years 2022-2023, there have been more than 1.2 million “gotaways” – individuals who manage to evade border enforcement successfully. In the past three fiscal years, CBP data indicates that over 40,000 illegal migrants with previous criminal records have been apprehended.

According to a recent survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports and released on Friday, former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden by double digits in a national matchup. The survey indicates that Trump has a ten-point advantage over Biden, even when third-party candidates are included in the matchup.

Trump has garnered 46 percent support, while Biden has received 36 percent. Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has nine percent support, independent candidate Cornel West has two percent, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein has one percent. In a head-to-head matchup, Trump leads Biden by nine points, with 49 percent support compared to Biden’s 40 percent. The survey was conducted on June 20 among 1,000 likely voters, with a margin of error of ± three percent.

The results of this survey come after a previous survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports in May, revealing that a majority of Democrats, 54 percent to be exact, are in favor of replacing Biden with a different candidate from their party.
