(CBrief) – Fox News late-night host Greg Gutfeld went viral this week in the wake of colleague Tucker Carlson’s program being taken off the air.

Perhaps in a move to defy his superiors, Gutfeld has joked about Carlson running for president, slammed another colleague for attacking Carlson, and even defended Tucker after several videos leaked this week.

Gutfeld, a co-host of “The Five” and host of his late-night show “Gutfeld,” defended Carlson on Tuesday after several video clips were leaked and published by the leftist group Media Matters. The outlet has shared several of the behind-the-scenes comments from Carlson, which show him joking and having conversations with either guests or staff members before the show began.

Gutfeld took to Twitter to defend Carlson by likening Media Matters to high school hall monitors trying to get him in trouble.

“Apparently everyone understands nonsense banter between segments except for hall monitor failures bitterly chronicling the lives of the far more successful,” Gutfeld tweeted.

Meanwhile, the bulk of late-night TV shows have gone dark amid a lingering writer’s strike, but Gutfeld! has remained on the air with fresh, live episodes. “This comes after the WGA called for a writers strike following breakdown in talks with the studios,” Deadline reported earlier this week.

The outlet added:

All of the other late-night shows including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Daily Show have halted production.

While Gutfeld!, hosted by Greg Gutfeld, has a smaller team than most of the late-night shows and Gutfeld writes his own monologue, he does have some help from the likes of Nick DiPaolo. Tom O’Connor — who has worked with Gutfeld since his Red Eye days — exec produces, Arash Mosaleh is senior producer, and the writing staff includes Joe DeVito and Joe Machi.

Outrage: Judge Lets Top Dem’s Child Off The Hook After Assaulting Police Officer

(SNews) – A judge gave the transgender son of House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA) a slap on the wrist for assaulting a police officer.

Jared “Riley” Dowell, a biological male who claims to be “nonbinary” and transgender, was sentenced to just one year of probation after reaching a deal with a Boston court.

Dowell was arrested by Boston police during a recent protest after spray-painting a monument and assaulting a police officer.

He was charged with assault and battery on a police officer, vandalizing property, tagging property, vandalizing a historic marker/monument, and resisting arrest.

Dowell pleaded not guilty to the assault and vandalism charges and will be required to write a letter of apology to the officer he assaulted as part of the deal.

“I love Riley, and this is a very difficult time in the cycle of joy and pain in parenting,” Clark said at the time

“This will be evaluated by the legal system, and I am confident in that process.

“I condemn violence against everyone, whether that is against police or against community members as a result of any person or government entity.”

Boston Police Department issued a statement that said: “Incident 1: At about 9:30 PM, on Saturday, January 21, 2021, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a protest at the Parkman Bandstand Monument located within the Boston Common, 139 Tremont Street.

“Upon arrival officers observed an individual defacing the monument with spray paint.

“The tagging read ‘NO COP CITY’ and ‘ACAB.’

“The suspect was later identified as Jared Dowell, 23, of Melrose.

“During the arrest of Jared Dowell, a group of about 20 protesters began to surround officers while screaming profanities though megaphones on the public street causing traffic to come to a standstill.

“While interfering with the arrest of Jared Dowell, an officer was hit in the face and could be seen bleeding from the nose and mouth.

“Jared Dowell was placed under arrest and charged with; Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Destruction or Injury of Personal Property, and Damage of Property by Graffiti/Tagging.

“Dowell is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

“Incident 2: At about 10:27 PM, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) made a second arrest at the Parkman Bandstand Monument of Andrea Colletti, 27, of Brighton.

“After attempting to flee on foot, [he] was apprehended,” BPD said.

“After a brief struggle ensued, [he] was placed under arrest and charged with; Damage of Property by Graffiti/Tagging, Destruction or Injury of Personal Property and Resisting Arrest.

Outrage: Biden Orders Catholic Hospital to Extinguish Eternal Flame

(TStarnes) – Saint Francis Hospital was ordered by the Biden Administration to extinguish an eternal flame in the hospital’s chapel. If they refused to comply, the government said the Catholic hospital would be stripped of all federal funding.

The eternal flame has been flickering inside the chapel for more than 60 years without any issues. But now a federal agency under the Dept. of Health and Human Services says the candle is a safety hazard.

As you will see in the photograph below, the candle is encased in glass and covered on top. And it’s been repeatedly been approved by the government and the local fire marshal.

If the hospital does not extinguish the flame, the Biden Administration will revoke Saint Francis’ ability to see Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP patients, cutting off critical healthcare access for thousands of people in Oklahoma.

“The cornerstone of Saint Francis is love for God and man. To this day, the Saint Francis torch insignia indicates a space of hope: a place where the medical and spiritual stand as one,” chief operating officer Barry Steichen said.

“We’re being asked to choose between serving those in need and worshipping God in the chapel, but they go hand in hand,” he added. “To share a quotation of Saint Francis Xavier that is familiar to many Saint Francis staff, ‘it is not the actual physical exertion that counts towards one’s progress, nor the nature of the task, but by the spirit of faith with which it is undertaken.’ Our work depends upon our faith in the living God, and the sanctuary candle represents this to us.”

The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty is representing the Catholic hospital and they sent a tersely worded letter to the government.

“The government’s demand is absurd and unlawful—it is targeting Saint Francis’s sincere beliefs without any good reason,” said Lori Windham, vice president and senior counsel at Becket. “The government has a simple choice: either stop this attack on Saint Francis’s faith or expect a legal firestorm.”

Over the past two years President Biden has ordered a crackdown on Catholics. Walter Reed Medical Center actually banned priests from ministering to patients. And most recently, the FBI was accused of infiltrating Catholic churches in Richmond, Virginia – to root out religious extremists.

Sounds to me like the Biden Administration won’t stop at snuffing out that hospital candle. They also want to snuff out Catholics.

When I was a child growing up in a Baptist church in the Deep South, we used to sing a song admonishing us not to hide our light under a bushel. No! I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

And that’s exactly what Saint Francis Hospital should do. Let their light shine in the face of Dark Biden.

Alert: Longtime Dem Strategist Charged With FRAUD

(SNews) – New Jersey Democrat campaign strategist James Devine has been charged with election fraud, according to prosecutors.

The charges are related to Devine’s role as a campaign manager for a would-be candidate in the 2021 New Jersey governor’s race.

New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin said Devine is facing election fraud charges after allegedly filing nearly 2,000 bogus petitions in an attempt to get his candidate on the ballot for the Democratic Party primary.

Devine was charged by summons with one count of third-degree offenses concerning nomination certificates or petitions, one count of third-degree tampering with public records or information, and one count of fourth-degree falsifying or tampering with records.

“At a moment in our history when American democracy is facing some of its most formidable challenges from false claims about elections and questions about election integrity, my office will not tolerate any sort of fraud that attempts to deceptively and unfairly benefit a candidate or undermine free and fair elections in New Jersey,” said Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin.

“The voters need to have faith that when they go to the polls, the candidates listed on the ballot have gotten there legitimately and that they aren’t being scammed,” said Office of Public Integrity and Accountability Executive Director Thomas Eicher.

“Fraudulent acts like this erode faith in our government and the rule of law, and there must be consequences.”

Platkin’s office issued a statement that said:

“The crimes were allegedly committed on or about April 5, 2021 in a bid to get New Jersey gubernatorial hopeful Lisa McCormick on the ballot for the June 8, 2021, Democratic primary election.

“The investigation found Devine emailed the Secretary of State’s Division of Elections roughly 1,948 fraudulent voter certifications in support of a petition for Governor of the State of New Jersey, in an attempt to nominate McCormick for the primary.

“The New Jersey Democratic State Committee on April 9, 2021 filed a written challenge to that effort, listing numerous issues with the voter certifications.

“According to that challenge, at least one voter was dead; every single voter certification used the same fonts and signature style — with not a single voter using an electronic signature that differed from the typed name; one purported voter included a number in his name; and in nearly every instance the same number of extra spaces appeared between the city name and ‘NJ’ in the address line, which the Division of Elections found suspicious and seemed to indicate a computer program had filled out the forms in an identical manner.

“Following a hearing, Administrative Law Judge Jeffrey N. Rabin issued a decision on April 13, 2021, removing McCormick from the ballot, citing those irregularities.

“Detectives from OPIA subsequently launched an investigation, conducting interviews with multiple individuals whose names appeared on the petitions submitted by Devine, but who said they did not submit a petition or authorize one in support of McCormick’s nomination.

“Devine then admitted multiple times to detectives that he uploaded erroneous voter information onto petition forms that were submitted to the Division of Elections on behalf of McCormick’s campaign.

“Third-degree crimes can carry a prison sentence of three to five years and a $15,000 fine. Fourth-degree offenses could lead to up to 18 months in state prison and a fine of up to $10,000,” the statement said.
On his website, Devine describes himself as “a masterful Democratic Party campaign strategist.”

Devine says that he has worked on campaigns for “[C]ongress and the presidency.”

Watch: Biden Calls Muslim Guest ‘Boy’ at Event

(SNews) – Democrat President Joe Biden has let another humiliating gaffe slip, raising further doubts about his mental fitness for office.

During an event at the White House used a term that many, especially on the Left, would argue is a racial slur.

Biden hosted a reception celebrating Eid-al-Fitr in the East Room.

During his address, he called a Muslin guest “boy.”

At one point during the event, an audience member asked Biden something about a Muslim federal judge when Biden veered dangerously off script.

“You wanna come up here and make a speech?” Biden slurred.

“Hush up, boy,” the president added.

Biden started by talking about how many Muslims there are in American government and other high-powered positions.

However, it quickly went downhill from there.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) wants to eradicate all American billionaires.

The radical leftist told CNN’s Chris Wallace that the government should confiscate the wealth of anyone many more than $1 billion.

“Do I think people who work hard, create new businesses should become rich? I do. Do I think they should have $50 billion or $100 billion when you have got a half a million people who are homeless in America today, when you have 85 million people who can’t afford health insurance? No, I don’t,” Sanders said.

BREAKING: Top Conservative Network Planning To Offer Carlson MASSIVE Deal

(CBrief) – Fox News announced last week the network had “parted ways” with top-rated host Tucker Carlson. Now, new reports indicate Newsmax, another top conservative network, is allegedly willing to offer Carlson more than just a big paycheck.

Newsmax is reportedly interested in giving Carlson his own primetime show on their network and allowing him to program the whole channel, per TMZ. That would give Carlson a substantial amount of power, including making decisions on shows that currently air on the network.

“Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the news channel is doing everything it can to sweeten the deal for Tucker to come on board — including floating the idea of letting him program the whole channel, not just his own show. That would be a pretty enticing deal point … in addition to having his own primetime show, Tucker would have a say over what shows lead into and out of his show, which can be key in achieving bigger TV ratings,” TMZ reported.

“While our sources stress Newsmax hasn’t formally offered Tucker a job — he can’t have formal discussions due to his current Fox News contract — we’re told the network execs have made it clear to people around him, they would basically give him a big say in rebranding their channel,” the report added.

Late last week, rumors began swirling around who Fox News might choose to take over Carlson’s time slot.

Mediaite published a report titled, “Who Will Replace Tucker Carlson at Fox News? Here Are Mediaite’s Top Picks,” where staff members compiled a list of potential hosts who could take over Carlson’s coveted 8 PM time slot. Fox News stated it would rotate hosts before making any final decisions on Carlson’s replacement.

Right now, Jesse Watters has 7 PM ET, Sean Hannity has 9 PM ET, and Laura Ingraham has the 10 PM ET time slot.

Mediaite suggested in its report that Fox News could simply move around Watters, Ingraham, or Hannity to give them the 8 PM time slot and test a new host in a later time slot.

That way, a more seasoned host would simply take over Carlson’s time slot on the network.

In the event that Fox News keeps the primetime hosts in their current time slots, here are the top 6 names that Mediaite suggested could take over Carlson’s show:

Carlson was reportedly “blindsided” on Monday when he received a phone call from CEO Suzanne Scott informing him that he had been fired.

Now, a former top Fox News host thinks he knows the reason why Carlson was let go.

During an interview with Chris Cuomo of News Nation, Bill O’Reilly — the former Fox News host who previously occupied the coveted primetime 8 PM time slot — argued that he believes Carlson was fired because the network is facing a slew of lawsuits related to the 2020 election.

(CBrief) – Former Fox News host Chris Wallace had a testy, but playful back and forth with Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who caucuses with the Democrats on the subject of age.

When Wallace wanted to talk about age with the Senator he quipped that Wallace should not worry because he will vote for him to keep his job at CNN, Mediaite reported.

Wallace hit back sharply by mentioning Sanders age, after admonishing him by saying “you poked the bear.”

WALLACE: New subject, House Republicans want…

SEN. SANDERS: We’re off of age. We’re worried about getting old here. That’s what that’s what I’m hearing Chris. I’ll fight to keep you on the station.

WALLACE: Let me all right, look. You poked the bear, I’m gonna go back to age. Honestly. You’re 81 I’m 75. Am I sharp do I think I have the mental acuity I had five or 10 years ago. No, I think I’m pretty good. And to a certain degree, I take a mental acuity test every time I sit down with somebody like you. Do you think maybe you’ve lost a step?

SEN. SANDERS: I mean, I let other people make that decision. I think you’re doing pretty well. I’ll vote to keep you on the station here, how’s that?

WALLACE: I think you’re a young 81. So I’ll vote for you too.

But before the interview was done Wallace came back to the subject of age.

WALLACE: Finally, as we’ve mentioned, you’re 81 years old, you’re up for re election in 2024. Have you decided whether or not you’re going to run again?

SEN. SANDERS: No I have not. And one of the concerns that I do have and I think it’s kind of pushed by the media is we have never ending elections like three days after the election people were asking what are you going to do? You know what I have? Wanna hear a radical and crazy idea? I think elected officials should work for the people. I’m chair of the Health Education Labor Pension Committee, I have a lot of work to do. So instead of talking about running for office and campaigning 24 hours a day, maybe we should do some work for the American people. So I will make that decision. At the appropriate time, much too early.

It would be curious to know when Sanders idea of an appropriate time is, as it is 2023 and his election would be in 2024.

But currently the talk is of President Joe Biden and what many people believe is him showing signs of his age.

Biden appeared to forget on Thursday which country he visited last and a literal child had to remind him.

Biden welcomes a group of children to the White House on Take Your Child to Work Day and took part in an event on the South Lawn. The event was promoted by the nonprofit Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation.

While speaking to the children, Biden said: “I’m trying to think where the last place I was! It’s hard to keep track.”

It’s unclear if Biden was just joking with the children or if he truly forgot, but one of the kids can be heard reminding the president that he was in Ireland a few days ago.

BREAKING: Trump Scores HUGE Court Win

(SNews) – President Donald Trump just scored a huge win over Chicago politicians and will get a $1 million property tax refund from the Democrat-controlled city.

A court ruled that the City of Chicago must refund Trump the overpaid taxes related to his skyscraper along the Chicago River.

Trump has been fighting the machine in Chicago for years to get this fixed.

He was finally victorious after the Illinois Appellate Court agreed that the Trump International Hotel & Tower was overvalued by the Cook County assessor’s office and the Cook County Board of Review.

The refund will come out of the property taxes due this year to the city of Chicago and eight other government agencies.

The Cook County treasurer’s office will begin preparing approximately 339 refunds totaling $1 million for the skyscraper’s hotel rooms and condo spaces after a three-member appellate court panel on Monday rejected an appeal by the Cook County Board of Review.

Justice Mary Ellen Coghlan wrote in the 13-page ruling that the decision in favor of Trump came after lawyers from the Cook County state’s attorney’s office presented “no expert testimony in support of its estimation of value” for the skyscraper.

The Cook County state’s attorney is seeking to block a $1 million tax refund that the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board ruled is owed to former President Trump on his Chicago skyscraper’s 2011 tax bill.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the office of Cook County State’s Attorney Kimberly Foxx filed a lawsuit this month with the Illinois Appellate Court against the refund, stating that the former president’s refund would take away taxpayer dollars from Chicago public schools and other agencies to pay for it.

Last month, the state property tax board voted 5-0 that the value of the Trump International Hotel & Tower had been overassessed, thus leaving Trump eligible for a refund totaling $1.03 million.

BOMBSHELL: Biden Whistleblower Mysteriously DISAPPEARS

(SNews) – A whistleblower has mysteriously disappeared without a trace after coming forward with information about Democrat President Joe Biden and his family’s business dealings.

Israeli Professor Gal Luft has not been heard from since April 19.

In 2019, Luft independently approached the FBI as a whistleblower.

He reported to the federal agency that he had information regarding nefarious dealings by the Biden family.

However, the FBI reportedly never followed up with Luft on his claims.

The information that Luft gave to the FBI apparently runs parallel to, and possibly even corroborates, the content on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop.

Luft’s testimony would have been especially significant since Hunter’s laptop was not public knowledge in 2019.

Nevertheless, rather than investigate the claims, the Southern District of New York instead issued an arrest warrant and extradition request against the whistleblower.

Almost four years after approaching the FBI, Luft was arrested at an airport in Cyprus on February 16 on his way back home to Israel.

He was arrested on a series of eyebrow-raising charges related to arms trafficking and espionage.

Luft commented on the situation on Twitter and accused the U.S. federal government of persecuting him to protect the Bidens.

“I’ve been arrested in Cyprus on a politically motivated extradition request by the US,” Luft tweeted.

“The US, claiming I’m an arms dealer. It would be funny if it weren’t tragic.

“I’ve never been an arms dealer,” he asserted.

“[The Department of Justice] is trying to bury me to protect Joe, Jim & Hunter Biden. Shall I name names?”

After posting bail in Cyprus of 400,000 euros (equivalent to about $438,000), Luft mysteriously disappeared.

Since last week, Luft has completely vanished and, at present, his whereabouts and fate are entirely unknown.

The disappearance of Luft has raised concerns about what damning information he could have on the Biden family.

Luft is a retired lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Force.

After leaving the elite forces, he formed and co-directed a think tank in Washington called the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security (IAGS).

IAGS was a unique conjunction of the right and the left, especially regarding the security and economic benefits of reducing Middle Eastern oil dependency.

In 2014, the China Energy Fund Committee (CEFC) created an American nonprofit arm called CEFC-USA.

The organization secured a contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) related to clean coal technology.

At this time, Luft and the IAGS became affiliated with the Chinese energy nonprofit.

According to an article published in The New York Times in December 2018, one of CEFC-USA’s goals was to gain “access to the key corridors of power in Washington.”

As such, the nonprofit began lobbying and courting various governmental and nonprofit bodies as well as notable politicians — including then-Vice President Joe Biden.

The Times reported that the leadership of CEFC-USA initiated their contact with the Biden family in 2015.

“An aide to [Ye Jianming, founder and chairman of CEFC-USA,] met the vice president’s son, Hunter Biden, in Washington,” the NY Times reported.

“Mr. Ye then met privately with Hunter Biden at a hotel in Miami in May 2017. …

“Mr. Ye proposed a partnership to invest in American infrastructure and energy deals.”

The Times further noted that, according to congressional researchers, Ye previously held high-ranking positions in a Chinese military organization specializing in the collection of intelligence and the dissemination of propaganda.

Similarly, CEFC-USA employed an unusually high number of former Chinese military officers.

According to information on Hunter Biden’s laptop and whistleblower Tony Bobulinksi, the Biden family created Sinohawk Holdings to engage in a partnership with CEFC-USA.

The terms included $5 million in payments plus an additional $5 million in gifts to the Biden family.

In this context, the Biden presidential campaign solicited over 50 U.S. intelligence officers to claim that the Hunter Biden laptop was a complete farce and merely the product of a “Russian disinformation campaign.”

While the Sinohawk Holdings deal with CEFC-USA didn’t fully materialize, The Washington Post reported that the Biden family did, in fact, receive about $4.8 million from the Chinese organization.

The Post further stated that CEFC-USA officials asked Hunter Biden to inform them of potential investigations during the Trump administration.

“In the summer of 2017, Hunter Biden received a request from Ye that would foreshadow subsequent problems for CEFC,” the report notes.

“Ye said that a top CEFC associate, Patrick Ho, might be under investigation by U.S. law enforcement and he asked Hunter Biden for help.

“Hunter Biden told the New Yorker that he agreed to represent Ho and to try to figure out if he was under scrutiny by law enforcement.”

In this context, Gal Luft, who had interacted significantly with CEFC-USA and its officers, approached federal officials in March 2019 as a whistleblower.

According to the New York Post, Luft’s attorney stated that his client “learned explosive information that someone was selling sealed U.S. law enforcement information to Chinese individuals.”

More specifically, the attorney claimed that Ye confided to Luft that Hunter Biden had an informant in the FBI “or formerly of the bureau, extremely well-placed, who they paid lots of money to [provide] sealed law enforcement information.”

This FBI mole was apparently called “One-Eye.”

Luft’s lawyer further stated, “The DOJ had this information in March 2019 and did nothing. Congress has the Biden bank records but it doesn’t know the reason for the payments.

“Now it does. The information that the whistleblower — Dr. Luft — gave the DOJ four years ago is the missing link for the reason behind the China-Biden money transfers.

“Clearly, this is explosive stuff.”

“Coincidentally,” the Southern District of New York issued an arrest warrant for Luft on Nov. 1, 2022.

The timing of the arrest warrant was just one week before the 2022 midterm elections.

During the midterms, the Republican Party ran on the platform of investigating the Bidens once in control of Congress.

Republicans accordingly took control of the House and the investigative committees.

By that point, the Justice Department had completely ignored Luft’s whistleblower allegations against the Bidens after sitting on it for almost four years.

More recently, Luft’s legal team has been in contact with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY).

Comer is spearheading the investigations into the Biden family dealings and alleged corruption.

After news got out of Luft’s arrest, Comer commented, “This was the straw that broke the camel’s back. …

“We’ve had three people that were involved in the Hunter Biden shady business schemes that have communicated with my committee staff this week. …

“I think that people see the heavy-handedness of the Bidens.

“Either you’re getting picked up by the DOJ or you’re getting a letter from Hunter Biden’s personal attorney trying to intimidate you.”

Another of Luft’s lawyers declared that the testimony was so damning that it would “bury Hunter Biden.”

“[The arrest] would be a good way to shut [Luft] up … because he knows a lot of information on Hunter. … Gal’s testimony, if [he is allowed to testify,] will bury Hunter Biden,” the attorney said.

“Even more so, his testimony will shift the attention toward the president himself.”

American-Israeli conservative columnist Caroline Glick warned in a piece for the Jewish News Syndicate that the arrest and pending extradition request make it essentially impossible for Luft to testify before Congress.

The arrest was made in Cyprus and not in accordance with the extradition treaty between Israel and the U.S.

If Luft had been arrested in Israel, he could still have testified remotely while in Israeli custody pending extradition.

But now Luft has disappeared.

With his disappearance, one of the most damning whistleblowers against the Biden family has been silenced, possibly forever.
