(SNews) – Buried in Democrat President Joe Biden’s recently passed “infrastructure” bill is a law that mandates the installation of remotely-accessed kill switches to all new vehicles.

The move allows government authorities to shut down or remotely operate any car, truck, or SUV produced after August 2026.

The disturbing new rule was reported automotive news outlet Motorious.

According to the report, former Georgia Congressman Bob Barr has been sounding the alarm on the terrifying new law after finding it buried within the Biden “infrastructure” legislation.

Barr warns that the measure gives the government the ability to remotely “monitor the performance of a driver” via the device that is mandatorily fitted to their vehicle.

Biden’s bill was passed in August 2021 with cooperation from Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

According to Barr, the government will soon have the power to shut off your vehicle if they determine you are partaking in any “illegal” activity.

However, concerns are mounting that the new law will be abused by federal authorities and used to target those who question the government’s agenda.

In recent weeks, Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” releases have proved that the federal government has been actively colluding with Big Tech companies to silence the American people, mostly those who hold conservative views.

And in Canada, liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s regime froze the bank accounts of the Freedom Convoy protesters who pushed back against his government’s tyrannical Covid measures.

Barr is now calling on Americans to fight back against the new “kill switch” law.

According to Barr, the measure to install vehicle kill switches into every new car, truck, and SUV sold in this country is hidden away in the recently passed infrastructure bill.

“The regulation likely won’t be enforced for five years, so maybe there’s time to do something about this,” Motorious reports.

“As we’ve seen both in this country and others recently, what constitutes ‘law-abiding’ can change drastically overnight,” the report continues.

“For example, in September a car was pulled over in New Zealand and the occupants arrested when police discovered the trunk was full of Kentucky Fried Chicken meals.”

“They were smuggling the fast food to customers in locked-down Auckland, against quarantine measures.

“Yet not too long before, delivering restaurant orders to people was considered a reputable, legal activity.”

“It gets even better: Barr points out that the bill, which has been signed into law by President Biden, states that the kill switch, which is referred to as a safety device, must ‘passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired.’

“In other words, Big Brother will constantly be monitoring how you drive,” Motorious warns.

“If you do something the system has been programmed to recognize as driver impairment, your car could just shut off, which could be incredibly dangerous.”

“There is the possibility the kill switch program might measure your driving as impaired, then when you try to start the car up again the engine won’t fire up.

“That would potentially leave you stranded.”

“But wait, there’s more. This kill switch ‘safety’ system would be open, or in other words, there would be a backdoor.

“That would allow police or other government authorities to access it whenever.”

“Would they need a warrant to do that? Likely not.

“Even better, hackers could access the backdoor and shut down your vehicle.”

Barr is urging regular Americans to step up and tell their U.S. Representatives and Senators what they think of laws like these.

“Adding what amounts to a mandatory, backdoor government ‘kill switch’ to cars is not only a violation of our constitutional rights but an affront to what is — or used to be — an essential element of our national character,” Barr warns.

“Unless this regulatory mandate is not quickly removed or defanged by way of an appropriations rider preventing its implementation, the freedom of the open road that individual car ownership brought to the American Dream, will be but another vague memory of an era no longer to be enjoyed by future generations.”

(TStarnes) – Three New York City Police officers were stabbed in the head during a wild attack near the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square.

The NYPD says a 19-year-old man armed with a machete attacked the officers. The attacker was shot in the shoulder.

One of the injured officers had just graduated from the police academy on Friday.

Multiple law enforcement officials tell ABC and NBC News they are looking into whether the man who allegedly attacked the officers had previously posted what they called jihadist writings online and traveled to NYC to target police on New Year’s Eve.

The FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force are involved in the investigation.

Law enforcement sources tell the New York Post the attack happened just after 10 p.m. at the corner of 52nd Street and 8th Avenue. They said the man attacked police without provocation.

The injured officers were rushed to Bellevue Hospital – where they are undergoing treatment. The rookie officer suffered a skull fracture.

Police sources said the officers are in stable condition; the suspect’s condition is unknown at this time.

(CBrief)- Sam Bankman-Fried, who is now facing several federal charges, including fraud, after the massive collapse of crypto-currency exchange FTX, had a series of meetings with Biden White House officials ahead of the 2022 midterm elections that were previously undisclosed.

According to Bloomberg News, Bankman-Fried, who was the second-largest donor to the Democratic Party during the recently concluded election cycle, met with Biden officials on four different occasions, the last of which took place in September.

“The Democratic donor, 30, awaiting trial for what prosecutors say is one of the biggest financial frauds in U.S. history held talks with senior White House advisor Steve Ricchetti on September 8,” the UK’s Daily Mail noted, citing the Bloomberg report.

“He has had at least two other meetings with Ricchetti on April 22 and May 12 and another with top aide Bruce Reed,” the DM report noted further, adding that Bankman-Fried’s brother, Gabriel, also took part in a White House meeting on his own in May.

Bankman-Fried is now under house arrest at his parents’ $4 million home in Palo Alto, California, after he was freed in a Manhattan court on a $250 million bond. The former CEO, 30, is facing securities and wire fraud charges related to his collapsed crypto exchange FTX.

Bloomberg reported that the meetings focused on the crypto industry and exchanges, and did not involve politics.

Bankman-Fried was the Democratic party’s second biggest donor in the 2022 election cycle and has appeared in hearings on Capitol Hill.

The outlet noted that several Democrats who received donations from Bankman-Fried have since donated them to various charities, returned the money, or are waiting for the Justice Department to determine the best move.

In court filings, federal prosecutors said that the disgraced crypto mogul, 30, used FTX like his “personal piggy bank,” also funneling billions to Alameda Research, an investment firm that lost tens of billions of investor dollars. He is set to be arraigned in federal court in Manhattan on Jan. 3, and if he’s convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to life in prison, essentially — 115 years.

“Following his December 12 arrest in the Bahamas, Bankman-Fried was held in the notorious Fox Hill Prison, where inmates are reportedly crammed in cells with multiple other inmates, without access to running water or other means of basic hygiene,” the DM reported, adding that he appears to have gotten special treatment, however.

“It was earlier reported that Bankman-Fried was held in the sickbay at the prison – dubbed ‘Fox Hell’ by fearful locals – where he reportedly received preferential treatment over other inmates,” the outlet noted further.

“The embattled crypto crook reportedly had access to his own toilet, running water, a TV, local newspapers, crossword puzzles and a host of other perks – including food that adheres to his vegan lifestyle,” the report continued.

Before he was arrested, Bankman-Fried — in a series of public appearances — acknowledged making mistakes that led to the collapse of the crypto exchange, once valued at around $30 billion, but he maintained that he was innocent of criminal intent.

But that said, two former associates, former Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison and former FTX chief technology officer Gary Wang, have both entered guilty pleas and are now cooperating with federal prosecutors.

Earlier this month, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked if President Joe Biden planned to ask his campaign to return donations made from Bankman-Fried, but she said she couldn’t answer the question due to the Hatch Act, which bars civil service workers from engaging in political activities.

“[I’m] limited on what I can say and anything that’s connected to political contributions from here, I would have to refer you to the DNC,” she said.

However, earlier this week, she faced new pushback from an Associated Press reporter, who said, “I’m asking the president’s opinion, though.”

“You asked me two questions: You asked me about will he return donations and then you asked me about his opinion. I’m answering the first part, which is I’m covered by the Hatch Act from here. I’m limited on what I can say. And I just can’t talk to political contributions or anything related to that,” she said, adding: “I cannot speak to that from here.”

(CBrief) – A video is going viral of a group of passengers being threatened with arrest after their flight was canceled by Southwest Airlines. According to reports, the exchange between a handful of passengers and a police officer took place at the international airport in Nashville, Tenn., this week.

In the video, a police officer is attempting to explain to the passengers that they are required to leave the terminal area, which is considered a secure part of the airport, and return to an area outside of the Transportation Security Administration check-in since they no longer have a flight to catch. Failure to do so, he repeatedly said, could result in their arrest.

“I thought that it would be best to start recording ’cause I wasn’t sure what was going to happen,” passenger Amani Robinson told WKRN.

“Me and my family were trying to go to Ohio and we were threatened and followed by this police officer, lmk if y’all want a part 2,” the TikTok video caption reads. The incident reportedly took place on Christmas Day, the outlet reported.

A BNA police officer can be seen and heard in the video telling her: “You and her need to leave or you’ll be arrested for trespassing.”

“You said you’re going to arrest people for trespassing, for being at a ticket counter for a flight?” Morrison asked in the video.

“Yes, if you don’t have a valid ticket, and you’re on the secure side and refuse to leave, you will be arrested,” the officer responded.

Later, he can be seen explaining that federal and state regulations prohibit anyone from being in a secure part of the airport without a valid ticket. He also explained that even though those passengers were holding tickets, per se, they were no longer valid after Southwest canceled their flight.

“It was absolutely shocking to experience that,” said Morrison. “I think that the comments were meant to strike a chord of fear, and honestly, for a moment, fear rose up, but then a righteous indignation kind of rose up as well.”

She claimed that in actuality, it wasn’t until a few hours later that Southwest officially canceled their flight, though the officer, at one point in the video, said that Southwest personnel were attempting to close the gate.

“It was bad enough to have the difficulties with travel. We understand we can’t control the weather, but the insult to injury was our treatment by the authorities there at the airport,” she said.

BNA officials responded to the incident in a statement.

“The Department of Public Safety at Nashville International Airport works to ensure the safety of all passengers throughout the airport,” BNA wrote. With the high number of flights impacted at BNA on Sunday evening, travelers were asked to visit the pre-security ticketing counters for help to rebook flights.

“Southwest Airlines personnel contacted the Airport Communications Center asking that a police officer be dispatched to C-concourse, Gate C-7/9, to escort passengers to the pre-security ticketing counters. We understand and appreciate the frustrations travelers may have, and we are working to provide the best passenger experience for all,” the statement continued.

Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is being heavily criticized by members of both parties for the fiasco with Southwest Airlines over the holidays regarding the crush of cancellations; the airline canceled as many as 62 percent of its flights at one point last week.

“Southwest’s flight delays & cancellations are beyond unacceptable,” Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., tweeted Wednesday. “This is a company that got a $7 billion taxpayer bailout & will be handing out $428 million in dividends to their wealthy shareholders.”

The Department of Transportation “must hold Southwest’s CEO accountable for his greed and incompetence,” Sanders added, according to Fox News.

Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., chair of the Senate Commerce Committee, said in a statement that federal rules have to be updated to prevent similar disasters. “The Committee will be looking into the causes of these disruptions and its impact to consumers,” Cantwell said.

Buttigieg pledged in an appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” that airline travel “is going to get better by the holidays.”

The long-serving lawmaker was the lead House manager for Trump’s second impeachment following the Jan. 6 Capitol Building riot. He is currently serving on the House Jan. 6 Committee.

“After several days of tests, I have been diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma, which is a serious but curable form of cancer,” he noted in a press release. “I am about to embark on a course of chemo-immunotherapy on an outpatient basis at Med Star Georgetown University Hospital and Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

In October, he spoke to CNN host Anderson Cooper and made excuses for why what President Joe Biden said about prosecuting those who do not comply with Congressional subpoenas is not the same as thing as what Donald Trump did as president, The Washington Examiner reported.

“The first thing he said was that the committee should aggressively enforce our right to get people’s testimony and to get the documents we’ve subpoenaed, and there is no problem with that,” said the Maryland Democrat.

“I also don’t have a problem with him, as a citizen like me, saying he hopes the Department of Justice will aggressively enforce the law, so people don’t get away with committing crimes like this,” he said.

“Obviously, four years of Donald Trump has made everybody a little bit rusty in terms of executive branch relationships with the president and law enforcement in the Department of Justice, and I don’t think he was telling the Department of Justice what to do, but they will make their own decision, and we have confidence that the attorney general will do the right thing and DOJ will make the right decision,” he said.
