(Slay News) – Hollywood star Tim Allen has joined the chorus of widespread mocking of Joe Biden over the Democrat president’s disastrous gaffe-filled interview on CBS.
Biden’s interview with “60 Minutes” on CBS Sunday has made headlines after the president made several claims that had to be walked back by his White House handlers.
On Monday, CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell and senior White House correspondent Ed O’Keefe reported on Biden’s interview.
Both O’Donnell and O’Keefe seemed stunned that so many of Biden’s statements needed to be corrected and walked back by staff after it aired.

NORAH O’DONNELL: Well, there is fallout tonight after President Biden’s interview with 60 Minutes, comments he made about the pandemic, led stocks of three COVID vaccine makers to plunge, shares falling as much as 9 percent. CBS’s Ed O’Keefe reports from the White House.
ED O’KEEFE: President Biden’s conclusion on 60 Minutes Sunday that the COVID pandemic has ended prompted push-back from health experts and clarifications from top officials.
PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: The pandemic is over. We still have a problem with COVID, we’re still doing a lot of work on it, but the pandemic is over.
O’KEEFE: Health and Human Services Secretary, Xavier Becerra, who held a photo op, promoting the latest COVID booster shot was asked what the President meant.
XAVIER BECERRA: Make no mistake, people are still dying. And what the President is saying is that we all want to get back to where we were before COVID.
O’KEEFE: While overall, case rates are dropping nearly 400 people are still dying each day with about 30,000 currently hospitalized.
And Dr. Anthony Fauci today warned that vaccination rates are too low to end the pandemic.
ANTHONY FAUCI: It is likely that we will see another variant emerge, and there’s already on the horizon.
O’KEEFE: Mr. Biden was also asked on 60 Minutes about whether he plans to run for reelection.
SCOTT PELLEY: You say that it’s much too early to make that decision. I take it the decision has not been made in your own head.
JOE BIDEN: Look, my intentions I said to begin with is that I would run again, but it’s just an intention.
Is it a firm decision that I’d run again? That remains to be seen.

(CBrief) – Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis received a standing ovation at a rally in Kansas City, Missouri, after he mentioned that he transported 50 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
During a rally in Kansas for state Attorney General Derek Schmidt, the GOP gubernatorial candidate, DeSantis spoke about how he sent two planes full of illegals from Florida to the wealthy liberal-dominated island last week.
“The one place in the country where we see virtually no law and order is at the southern border. And this is a crisis,” DeSantis said. “It’s now getting a little more attention.”
“This is a crisis. It is a crisis. And it’s a manufactured crisis because of Biden’s failed policies,” DeSantis said as the crowd gave him a standing ovation.
DeSantis pointed out, “You’re talking about 50 people. Did they get them employed? Did they get them set up? No. They called out the National Guard and they deported those people off the island the very next day.”
DeSantis voiced his support for Schmidt, telling the crowd, “You have a legislature here that will produce a lot of good legislation. You just need a governor that will sign the legislation. And you guys can make that happen.”

DeSantis suggested last week that he will continue sending more flights full of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard and possibly other locations.
“Now we see, in New York and D.C., they used to beat their chests when Trump was in office, saying they are sanctuary jurisdictions,” DeSantis said.
“Then the minute Texas starts busing there, they get very bent out of shape about it. These are just the beginning efforts. We got an infrastructure in place now. There is going to be a lot more that’s happening,” he added.
Former President Barack Obama and other Democrats who own homes on Martha’s Vineyard have remained silent after Republican governors sent roughly 50 illegal immigrants to the wealthy, liberal island.
Fox News reported that it made several requests to representatives for Obama for comment and did not receive any comment.
“The former president did not respond to multiple requests for comment from Fox News Digital on whether he has considered opening up his sprawling 29-acre estate on Martha’s Vineyard to illegal immigrants who have been sent to the island or maybe in the future,” Fox News reported.
“In addition, Fox News Digital reached out to representatives of prominent public supporters of President Biden who own homes on Martha’s Vineyard but did not receive a response. Those Martha’s Vineyard residents include singer James Taylor, director Spike Lee and comedian David Letterman, who all reportedly have homes on the island,” the outlet added.

Duke’s County, which comprises 11 islands off the coast of Massachusetts but is 99% represented by residents of Martha’s Vineyard, voted overwhelmingly for President Biden in the 2020 election by a margin of 77.7% to former President Trump’s 20.6%.
Biden carried every town on the island from Aquinnah on the western coast, where he won 87.6% to 9.6%, to the main hub of Edgartown on the eastern coast, where he won 70.6% to 27.5%.
Former President Obama carried Duke’s County by 48 points in 2012 and by 52 points in 2008.
Despite most on the wealthy island supporting and voting overwhelmingly for Democrats, many freaked out when just 50 illegal immigrants arrived late last week.
Some locals on the island called on Obama to use his home to assist the migrants, including novelist Jane Chittick, who suggested Obama doesn’t care about their dilemma.
“I don’t think people like the Obamas with huge estates who live here in the summer will care (about the migrants),” Chittick said. “I would love to see the Obamas open up their huge property and erect tents and look after all these people while they’re being processed.”
The 50 migrants sent to Martha’s Vineyard represent less than one-tenth of 1% of the nearly 5 million illegal immigrants believed to have crossed the southern border since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021.
Two days later, the 50 migrants were loaded onto buses to be transported off of Martha’s Vineyard to military housing on the Cape Cod mainland.

(JTNews) – Public health experts, including one of Anthony Fauci’s own scientists, are warning that federal COVID policy may cause imminent harm.
National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases staff scientist Margery Smelkinson, a two-time “merit award recipient,” called on the administration to end the official COVID public health emergency, which threatens resources for monkeypox and polio response by giving hospitals a 20% Medicare bump for each COVID-positive patient.
“This bolus of payments might help explain why all the large urban hospital systems we checked and the vast majority of smaller systems were still COVID testing all patients,” Smelkinson and Oregon Health and Sciences University instructor Leslie Bienen, who trains undergraduates to become scientific researchers, wrote in a Detroit Free Press op-ed.
Testing can also be a moneymaker for hospitals, which are now “full of people who are there for non-COVID reasons but cannot be discharged to rehab or skilled nursing facilities because of their positive test,” they wrote. The federal emergency props up “pointless but harmful” restrictions by state and local governments as well.
The CDC is weakening post-infection immunity by recommending people get newly authorized bivalent boosters as soon as two months from their last vaccine dose, University of California San Francisco infectious disease professor Monica Gandhi and emergency physician Michael Daignault wrote in a Time op-ed.
The authors previously recommended eight-week intervals between primary series doses based on immunologic studies, and are now recommending six months for bivalent boosters. “Short-interval repeat boosting or boosting too soon after a post-vaccination infection will limit the neutralizing antibody response and stunt the expansion of memory B cells,” the duo wrote.
The CDC told its Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, whose job is developing recommendations, that it couldn’t deviate from the two-month window in the FDA’s emergency use authorization, prompting alarm from epidemiologist Tracy Beth Hoeg and lawyers Laura Powell and Scott Davison.

CDC officials told skeptical ACIP members Sept. 1 (starting at the 2-hour 48-minute mark) that the Prep Act’s liability provisions require their recommendations to “be in line with the EUA.” They said the committee can’t even stay silent on interval windows, as one member proposed to give doctors leeway on boosters for recently infected patients.
This may help explain the agency’s “(very) simplified message,” Hoeg wrote in a tweet thread. She noted that CDC Director Rochelle Walensky dodged the question when asked what benefit a healthy young adult would get from the new booster.
“We are simplifying our message” to say everyone 12 and up “need[s] to get your fall booster,” Walensky told MSNBC. The CDC didn’t answer requests to explain the purpose of ACIP’s recommendations if it must legally rubber-stamp the FDA’s EUA provisions.

The simplified message may be confusing those who administer vaccines. A CVS pharmacist told a journalist who made an appointment for a bivalent booster that it was “fake news” to claim the new boosters weren’t tested in humans.
The Omicron BA.4/5 formulation in the new Pfizer and Moderna jabs was only tested in a handful of mice, which worries Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, who voted against their authorization as a member of the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee.
“I’m uncomfortable that … we would give millions or tens of millions of doses to people based on mouse data,” Offit told The Wall Street Journal. The FDA is making “huge assumptions” that the first run of mRNA vaccines will behave like flu vaccines, which are also not tested in humans before release each flu season, he told NBC News.

(BLP) – Many conservatives thought that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was a loyal soldier who served dutifully and honorably under President Donald Trump for many years in his cabinet.
Nothing could have been further from the truth.
Pompeo confirmed what had long been rumored during a meeting with his inner circle of supporters in Chicago earlier this week, according to sources at the meeting who confirmed to Politico.
“We’ve got a team in Iowa, a team in New Hampshire and South Carolina. And that’s not random. We are doing the things one would do to get ready,” Pompeo said.
Additionally, Pompeo is making the media rounds, including an appearance on Jesse Watters’ Fox News program to speak on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sending illegals up north to force liberal areas to deal with them.
Pompeo has made many remarks in recent months that show he is a neoconservative interloper who is subverting the America First cause for his own ends.
“By aiding Ukraine, we undermined the creation of a Russian-Chinese axis bent on exerting military and economic hegemony in Europe, in Asia and in the Middle East,” Pompeo said while giving remarks over the summer, defending the dangerous proxy war being waged with Russia that is costing the U.S. billions.
“I believe Ukraine has found its Washington in the embodiment of a single man. His name is Volodymyr Zelensky. He has led the world at a time of great peril,” he added.
“Associating with anti-Semitic neo-Nazis is not consistent with the conservative values I’ve defended for decades. (CBrief) – A pair of federal judges delivered a striking blow to the Biden administration in two major cases.
A federal judge ordered the Biden administration to hand over communication documents between the federal government and big tech companies.
U.S. District Court Judge Terry Doughty, of the Western District of Louisiana, granted the order of discovery sought by Republican Attorneys General Eric Schmitt of Missouri and Jeff Landry of Louisiana.
President Joe Biden, members of his administration, and select social media companies must turn over documents and answer questions within the next 30 days during a discovery phase of a lawsuit alleging collusion to suppress freedom of speech, a court ruled.
The attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri filed a lawsuit in May alleging Biden and eight high-ranking members of his administration and the government colluded with and/or coerced social media companies Meta, Twitter, and YouTube to suppress “disfavored speakers, viewpoints, and content on social medial platforms.”
On Tuesday, Terry Doughty, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, ruled there is “good cause” for the discovery process and set a timetable, including specific deadlines for depositions.
The lawsuit alleges that social media companies labeled information as “misinformation” and “disinformation” in violation of the First Amendment and that the federal government went beyond its authority and the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security violated the Administrative Procedure Act.
The lawsuit also said that the now disbanded “Disinformation Governance Board” suppressed information involving the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 Presidential election, the lab-leak theory of COVID-19’s origin, the efficiency of masks and COVID-19 lockdowns, and election integrity.
Judge Doughty ordered White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and Dr. Anthony Fauci to turn over any emails they sent to social media companies about misinformation or the censorship of social media content.
“This Court believes Plaintiffs are entitled to external communications by Jean-Pierre and Dr. Fauci in their capacities as White House Press Secretary and Chief Medical Advisor to the President to third-party social media platforms,” Doughty wrote.
“The ruling is part of a lawsuit filed in May by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, accusing the Biden administration of working with social media companies to suppress free speech, particularly surrounding COVID-19 and elections. For the past four months, the attorneys general and the White House have been arguing over which documents need to be produced in the lawsuit,” Kansas City Star reported.
“The White House launched a campaign last year that aimed at spurring Facebook and other social media giants to do more to combat misinformation about COVID on their platforms, a move which angered many on the political right. Schmitt, who is the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Missouri, has often used his role as Missouri attorney general to file lawsuits against the Biden administration around issues that resonate with his conservative base,” the report added.
In a press release, Schmitt’s office celebrated the ruling.
“The American people deserve answers on how the federal government has colluded with social media companies to censor free speech on these major platforms,” Schmitt wrote. “We will continue to fight to uncover more of this vast censorship enterprise.”
