“Gas prices weren’t over $5 when Biden took office. The Social Security hike isn’t a Biden achievement. The Trump tax cut didn’t ‘only’ go to the top 1%. Biden didn’t cut the debt in half. Biden didn’t get Congress to pass a law to forgive student debt,” CNN fact checker Daniel Dale said.
“The unemployment rate. Biden said at the Florida rally on Tuesday: ‘Unemployment is down from 6.5 to 3.5%, the lowest in 50 years.’ He said at the New Mexico rally on Thursday: ‘Unemployment rate is 3.5% – the lowest it’s been in 50 years.
“But Biden didn’t acknowledge that September’s 3.5% unemployment rate was actually a tie for the lowest in 50 years – a tie, specifically, with three months of Trump’s administration, in late 2019 and early 2020,” the fact checker said.
“Since Biden uses these campaign speeches to favorably compare his own record to Trump’s record, that omission is significant.
“The unemployment rate rose to 3.7% in October; that number was revealed on Friday, after these Biden comments. The rate was 6.4% in January 2021, the month Biden took office,” he said.
“During an on-camera discussion conducted by progressive organization NowThis News and published online in late October, Biden told young activists that they ‘probably are aware, I just signed a law’ on student debt forgiveness that is being challenged by Republicans.
“He added: ‘It’s passed. I got it passed by a vote or two, and it’s in effect.’
“Biden’s claims are false,” he said.
“He created his student debt forgiveness initiative through executive action, not through legislation, so he didn’t sign a law and didn’t get it passed by any margin.
“Since Republicans opposed to the initiative, including those challenging the initiative in court, have called it unlawful precisely because it wasn’t passed by Congress, the distinction between a law and an executive action is a highly pertinent fact here,” the fact checker said.
“A White House official told CNN that Biden was referring to the Inflation Reduction Act, the law narrowly passed by the Senate in August; the official said the Inflation Reduction Act created “room for other crucial programs” by bringing down the deficit. But Biden certainly did not make it clear that he was talking about anything other than the student debt initiative” he said.

“Biden correctly noted on various occasions in October that gas prices have declined substantially since their June 2022 peak – though, as always, it’s important to note that presidents have a limited impact on gas prices.
“But in an economic speech in New York last week, Biden said, ‘Today, the most common price of gas in America is $3.39 – down from over $5 when I took office.’
“Biden’s claim that the most common gas price when he took office was more than $5 is not even close to accurate,” the fact checker said.
“The most common price for a gallon of regular gas on the day he was inaugurated, January 20, 2021, was $2.39, according to data provided to CNN by Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
“In other words, Biden made it sound like gas prices had fallen significantly during his presidency when they had actually increased significantly,” he said.
“In other recent remarks, Biden has discussed the state of gas prices in relation to the summer peak of more than $5 per gallon, not in relation to when he took office.
“Regardless, the comment last week was the second this fall in which Biden inaccurately described the price of gas – both times in a way that made it sound more impressive,” he said.
But the president may be getting desperate as on Saturday, polling analysis publication FiveThirtyEight changed its Senate forecast from a “toss-up” to leaning Republican, Newsmax reported.
At president, the analyst firm lists Republican chances of winning the Senate at 55 in 100 versus Democrats retaining control at 45 in 100.
The new predictions come after the outlet reported on Monday: “Herschel Walker’s scandals may hurt his chances against Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock. Meanwhile, Democrats are hoping to pick up a seat in Pennsylvania, but that race has gotten a lot tighter recently.”
“Other Senate races are competitive but have identifiable favorites. For instance, strong Democratic incumbents currently have an edge in Arizona and New Hampshire. And the Senate races in North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin are also close but will likely result in Republican winners,” the outlet also added.

Following the official announcement, Trump may hold a series of political events or rallies for a few days.
At his Thursday rally in Sioux City, Iowa, Trump said: “In order to make our country successful and safe and glorious, I will very, very, very probably do it again.
“Get ready that’s all I’m telling you — very soon. Get ready.”
Axios reported Trump’s allies “are blocking off days in their calendars for the week after the midterms — and preparing to travel” to be ready for the announcement.
This may change, as things often do in Trump world, but all indications are he will announce soon after the midterms.
Especially if the Republicans ride a red wave to victory that Trump has played a key role in.
The early vote in some states looks good for the GOP while some pollsters say many races are still too close to call.

While the White House press sec. thinks she has mastered the art of telling voters not to believe their lying eyes, Rogan dropped the hammer on Jean-Pierre with some bad news.
“F**king everybody hates you,” the host blasted on his show “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
Rogan made the remarks on his show while talking with his guest, comedian Duncan Trussell.
Rogan and Trussell blasted the White House while dressed in costumes for a Halloween episode of the show.
As the conversation shifted to politics, Rogan said:
“If you’re a lawyer, your job is not to make a judgment in your head. ‘I think maybe this guy’s lying and maybe he did it.’
“Your judgment is to try to get your client off.
“And that’s why a lot of defense attorneys, man, that’s a slippery f***ing weird world to be in.
“Well, don’t you think it’s the same way in the government?
“If you’re that poor lady who’s the White House press secretary?”
“It’s the f***ing worst job. It’s the worst job.

Rogan highlighted the incident where President Joe Biden looked for a deceased congresswoman, Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN), at a recent White House event, asking, “Where’s Jackie?”
Jean-Pierre responded to the incident by claiming that Biden was looking for the deceased congresswoman because she was “top of mind.”
She argued that it had nothing to do with any cognitive issue.
“’Top of mind. She was top of mind,’” Rogan blasted as he mocked Jean-Pierre over the claims.
“I mean, it was really like the — it was like for what she had to work with, it was some incredible gaslighting.”
“Top of mind’s a good one because it’s nonsense.”
Trussell suggested that Jean-Pierre was not able to come up with an excuse like “top of mind” on her own and that she had outside help in defending the president.
“I think that exactly is probably what happens,” Rogan agreed.
“There’s probably some consultation on what’s the best phrasing …
“So that’s her job, just like a defense attorney.
“It’s their job to try to get their client off. That’s her job.”

(SNews) – White suburban women are revolting against the Democrats heading into the midterms, a new poll has revealed.
A new Wall Street Journal poll shows white suburban women, who make up 20% of the electorate, now favor the Republicans over Democrats by 15 percentage points.
The result is a staggering 26-point swing from August.
The poll shows that 46% of registered voters would support the Republican candidate in their congressional district.
Meanwhile, 44 percent would support the Democrat.
The poll revealed that 66 percent of white suburban women say inflation is causing major financial hardship,
That number is up from 54 percent in August.
Fifty-four percent of white suburban women believe that Democrat President Joe Biden’s economy is in a recession.
A whopping seventy-four percent say his economy is headed down the wrong track.
“It’s absolutely true that these women have shifted their gaze more on the economy than abortion,” Democrat pollster Molly Murphy said.
Additionally, 74 percent of white suburban women said the nation is headed in the wrong direction, but only sixty-five percent said so in August.
In even more bad news for the Democrats, the overwhelming majority of respondents now say they would vote for President Donald Trump over Biden if they both run in the 2024 election.
As for 2024, the poll claimed that “if the 2024 election were between Mr. Biden and former President Donald Trump, 41% of white suburban women said they would vote for Mr. Biden and 52% Mr. Trump.
“In August, 55% said Mr. Biden and 39% Mr. Trump.”
“The focus on the economic stuff, particularly inflation, is helpful to the GOP headed into the final stretch,” pollster Tony Fabrizio said.

Along with voters’ dour economic outlook, the poll shows that 55% of them disapprove of the job President Biden is doing and 54% believe his policies have had a negative effect on the economy.
Only 27% think Biden’s policies have been positive, while 43% approve of his job performance.
Jennifer Hackworth, a stay-at-home mom of three from outside Pittsburgh, said her kids’ clothes cost more, as do grocery items like milk and other staples.
“The Dems have kind of proved that they haven’t been able to make a change with [inflation]. It’s just gotten worse in the last couple of years,” she told the Journal.
Hackworth, 39, said she usually leans Republican but is undecided on how to vote in the Senate race between Democrat John Fetterman and Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz.
She said her abortion views align with Fetterman, but she said she’s inclined to vote for Oz.
WSJ: The GOP has seen a shift in its favor among several voter groups, including Latino voters and women, and particularly white suburban women. That group shifted 26 points away from Democrats since the Journal's August poll and now favors the GOP by 15%.
