(Slay News) – Tesla CEO Elon Musk has slammed Joe Biden, saying the Democrat president is too old to run for office again.

Musk blasted Biden during a new interview with the Financial Times where he addressed his ongoing battle to buy Twitter.

“I play the fool on Twitter and often shoot myself in the foot and cause myself all sorts of trouble,” Musk told FT.

“I don’t know, I find it vaguely therapeutic to express myself on Twitter.

“It’s a way to get messages out to the public.

“Twitter is certainly an invitation to increase your pain level.

“I guess I must be a masochist.

“I’m not doing Twitter for the money,” he insisted.

“It’s not like I’m trying to buy some yacht and I can’t afford it.

“I don’t own any boats.

“But I think it’s important that people have a maximally trusted and inclusive means of exchanging ideas and that it should be as trusted and transparent as possible.”

Muak also spoke out about President Donald Trump’s social media platform Truth Social.

“It [Truth Social] is essentially a rightwing echo chamber,” Musk said.

“It might as well be called Trumpet.”

“Something will happen to Earth eventually, it’s just a question of time,” he said while discussing his work with SpaceX and his interest in space exploration.

“Eventually the sun will expand and destroy all life on Earth, so we do need to move at some point, or at least be a multi-planet species.

“You have to ask the question: do we want to be a space-flying civilization and a multi-planet species or not?

“It’s a question of what percentage of resources should we devote to such an endeavor.

“I think if you say 1 percent of resources, that’s probably a reasonable amount.

“He [Biden] had an electric vehicle summit at the White House and deliberately didn’t invite Tesla last year.

“Then to follow it up, to add insult to injury, at a big event he said that GM was leading the electric car revolution, in the same quarter that GM shipped 26 electric cars and we shipped 300,000.

“Does that seem fair to you?”

Musk said Biden is too old to run for a second term in office.

“You don’t want to be too far from the average age of the population because it’s going to be very difficult to stay in touch,” he said.

“Maybe one generation away from the average age is OK, but two generations?

“At the point where you’ve got great-grandchildren, I don’t know, how in touch with the people are you?

“Is it even possible to be,” he said.

Meanwhile, Musk described the latest drama in his bid to buy Twitter as a “plot twist.”

As Slay News reported earlier, Musk has claimed that Twitter is now refusing to accept his offer to buy the company for $44 billion.

Earlier this week, Musk agreed to move forward with the deal after Twitter sued him for trying to back out of the takeover.

Twitter responded by stating that they would accept his offer, indicating that the deal could be completed “within days.”

Musk’s renewed proposal sent share prices surging by as much as 22% on the news.

But behind the scenes, Musk’s lawyers say Twitter wants to continue with litigation.

“Astonishingly, they have insisted on proceeding with this litigation, recklessly putting the deal at risk and gambling with their stockholders’ interests.”

(Slay News) – The U.S. Oil & Gas Association has fired back at Joe Biden after the Democrat president was snubbed by the Saudi Arabia-led Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

As Slay News reported Wednesday, OPEC will slash oil production despite the Biden administration begging the group to ramp it up.

The move is a huge blow to Biden ahead of the midterms as the cut in oil will send gas prices soaring further.

The oil and gas industry has warned Biden that he now has no other option that to increase the domestic output of fossil fuels.

“I just don’t know what the point of the current alliance is, if we have to work so hard to get the Saudis to do the right thing,” he added.

United Arab Emirates Energy Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei said the decision was “technical.”

“It’s very important that it remains as a technical decision and it’s not political,” he said.

“That’s why it’s important to look at the technical side of the equation and look at any concerns regarding the economy and the status of the economy.”

(Slay News) – Tomi Lahren has fired back at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) after AOC complained about illegal migrants in her New York district.

Ocasio-Cortez came out against NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ plan to set up a migrant center in her Bronx district.

She argued that there must be a “better solution” available.

The celebrity Democrat didn’t offer any solutions, however.

“I think we can get to a place with a better solution here,” AOC said when asked about the tent facilities being built in the Bronx’s Orchard Beach parking lot.

“It’s important that we adhere to the spirit, and not just the letter of the law,” she said.

“All people, regardless of who they are, deserve dignified, humane shelter, and this is a situation that we are going to be of course, along with so many others, paying very close attention to.”

Adams spokesman Fabien Levy defended the plan when asked to respond to AOC’s complaints.

“No location is perfect, but we are confident in this decision,” Levy said.

“And we’re glad that so many local elected officials recognize we’re in an emergency and are willing to work with us towards a successful rollout.”

Lahren blasted AOC over the comlaint and notes that it’s an example of the Democrats’ larger hypocrisy at play.

“I think it’s quite obvious that Democrats love the idea of illegal immigrants.

“They love the idea of them being in the shadows, but when they’re actually confronted with it, and they have to explain it to their constituents, why their shelters and their cities and their communities are being overrun, then suddenly want to make the problem go away.

“They try to tout what they do as solving a humanitarian crisis.

“I agree with them.

“There is a humanitarian crisis going on and a lot of it’s going on at our southern border where these migrants, these illegal immigrants are coming in.

“Maybe we are getting to the point and, I don’t want to be overly optimistic, but maybe we are getting to the point where Democrats are finally going to start looking at the Biden administration, and they’re going to say we need an actual solution because we’re being inundated.

“We are being overrun, the border cities and states are being inundated, and now these sanctuary cities are being inundated.

“Everything sounds good on paper and in a tweet until you have to deal with it in real life.

“AOC is finding that out.

(Slay News) – Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis shut down CNN reporter Nadia Romero for questioning Lee County’s delayed evacuation announcement.

Romero questioned why Gov. DeSantis and Florida authorities had focused on Tampa rather than Lee County during Hurricane Ian.

However, as DeSantis points out, weather experts had predicted that Tampa would be hit the hardest.

“Why do you stand behind Lee County’s decision to not have that mandatory evacuation until the day before the storm?” Romero asked.

DeSantis said: “Well did you, where was your industry stationed when the storm hit?

“Were you guys in Lee County? No, you were in Tampa.

“So they were following the weather track and they had to make decisions based on that.

“But, you know, 72 hours, they weren’t even in the cone.

“48 hours they were on the periphery, so you have to make the decisions best you can.

“I will say they delivered the message to people.

“They had shelters open,” DeSantis said.

“Everybody had adequate opportunity to get to a shelter within the county.

“But a lot of the residents did not want to do that. I think probably for various reasons.

“Some people don’t want to leave their home, period, they’re island people, whatever.

“But I think part of it was, so much attention was paid to Tampa, a lot of them thought they wouldn’t get the worst of it but they did, and I think it is easy to second-guess them.

“But they were ready for it the whole time and made that call when there was justifiable to do so.”

“Some of the neighboring counties did have mandatory evacuations, though, before Tuesday,” Romero said.

“I think it’s easy to say in hindsight,” DeSantis said.

He explained the state had a lot of its resources stationed in the Tampa Bay area but shifted them south as the storm changed track.

“There’s a huge difference between some impacts and being directly hit by the eye,” he said.

“They informed people and most people did not want to do it.

“That’s just the reality.

“So you’re in a situation, are you going to grab somebody out of their home that doesn’t want to?

“I don’t think that’s the appropriate use of government.

“I mean, I think that takes it a little too far.

“I think people have really pulled together.

“I think that they’ve done a really good job.

“There’s a lot of work ahead, obviously, but I think the resilience has been great.

“I think the spirit is great and I do think people pulled together well,” he said.
