BREAKING: Chris Wallace’s New CNN Show BOMBS

(CBrief) – Former Fox News host Chris Wallace bombed in his debut for his new employer.

The show, “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace,” debuted on Sunday for CNN and the Nielsen ratings show that not many people tuned in, The Washington Examiner reported.

“The ratings show that there were 401,000 viewers, down 29% from the average, and 44,000 among those aged 25 to 54, down 64% from the average,” the report said.

By contrast, his competition on Fox News “Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy,” garnered 1.3 million viewers and 78,000 in the 25 – 54 demographic.

His first guest was former Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, a liberal, who defended the court after its decision to end Roe V Wade.

“I want to talk to you about public opinion. You like to quote Alexander Hamilton, who said that the court does not have purse like Congress, does not have the sword like the executive. That it depends on public acceptance for its authority. You talked earlier about public opinion. Look at the Gallup poll, which has measured approval of the courts since the year 2000. In July, the month after Dobbs, 43% approved of the way the Supreme Court does its job while 55% disapprove. That’s the most negative margin in the history of the court, worse than right after Bush v. Gore. You talk about social harmony, but when the court undoes a right that people have lived with for half a century, doesn’t that very much shake the authority of the court?” the host said.

“If you’re going to be a judge, you do not worry about popularity. You do not worry about what the general public will say by way of public opinion. And if you do that going over a very small edge here, people won’t accept your opinion. They’ll think you’re a group of politicians and there have been some bad days in the history of the court. And I start complaining about the ones that I didn’t like, I think you know what Abraham Lincoln said, when he read Dred Scott. He said, That’s a shocker. And you say did I like this Dobbs decision? Of course I didn’t. Of course I didn’t. Was I happy about it? Not for an instant. Did I do everything I could to persuade people? Of course, of course. But there we are and now we go on. We try to work together. I mean, it’s a little corny, but I think, but I do think it,” the former Justice said.

The Supreme Court is set to be back to work in October and one case that it has agreed to hear has many waiting in anticipation.

The case is to decide if Republican legislators from North Carolina GOP have the authority to draw a partisan election map and not have state judges interfering.

“The decision could impact future congressional and presidential elections. The high court will take up the case when its next term begins in October,” the report stated.

“The case of Moore vs. Harper, asks the court to uphold the concept – known as the independent state legislature theory – that state legislators have the sole and independent authority to set rules for. North Carolina GOP House Speaker Timothy Moore asked the high court to consider the case on appeal of his own state Supreme Court’s decision earlier this year to strike down the theory relating to a gerrymandering case,” it added.

“In an election case out of North Carolina, SCOTUS agrees to review the “independent state legislature” theory next term. Under that theory, state legislatures have broad power to set rules for federal elections, even if state courts say those rules are unconstitutional,” SCOTUS Blog said.

“The North Carolina election case is Moore v. Harper. SCOTUS also adds two other new cases to its docket for next term: Percoco v. U.S. (a case about honest-services fraud brought by a former Andrew Cuomo aide) and Ciminelli v. U.S. (a case about federal wire fraud),” it said.

“In addition to those three grants, SCOTUS declines review in a challenge to New York’s vaccine mandate for health care workers,” it said.

BREAKING: Top Federal Health Advisor Breaks Ranks, Warns AGAINST Booster

(Slay News) – One of America’s leading vaccine experts, who serves as a top health advisor to the federal government, has broken ranks and warned young, healthy people not to get COVID-19 booster shots.

Paul Offit is the director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a professor of pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, a member of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) working group on vaccines, and a member of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC).

He also previously served as a member of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

During an appearance on CNN, Offit went off script and warned that people should not “take a risk” with booster shots because “there’s not clear evidence of benefit.”

Offit is also one of the few vaccine experts voicing caution regarding the new COVID boosters.

On August 31, the FDA granted emergency use authorizations (EUAs) of COVID-19 boosters from Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech.

As Slay News reported, the shots were approved for public use without trial on humans, with only data from lab testing on mice.

In a statement defending the move, Dr. Anthony Fauci argued that “we don’t have time” to wait for the clinical trials.

The bivalent version of the previous vaccines is for use as a single booster dose at least two months following primary or booster vaccination.

Moderna’s mRNA booster shots are approved by the FDA for individuals 18 years of age or older, and the Pfizer-BioNTech version is authorized for those 12 or older.

However, Offit is advising healthy young people to skip the new booster shot.

The vaccine expert first spoke out to warn people against the booster during an appearance on CNN earlier this month.

Offit said that those over 65, the immuno-compromised, and anyone with serious chronic health ailments could benefit from the boosters.

Yet he raised concerns that government health agencies were going to try to oversell the booster to everyone.

“What I fear is that they’re going to say everybody should get it when in fact, the healthy young person really is unlikely to benefit from the booster dose, and so I hope they targeted more specifically, to those really who are most likely to benefit from this additional dose,” he said during the CNN interview.

The CNN anchor was perplexed that the health official didn’t recommend everyone get the new jab.

She asked the vaccine expert, “Why not get it? Right?

“If it does give you even if it’s a smaller benefit, is there any reason not to get the booster?”

Offit replied, “I think that when you’re asking people to get a vaccine, I think there has to be clear evidence of benefit, and we’re not going to have clinical studies before this launches.”

Moderna has begun human trials on the booster shots, and Pfizer is expected to begin theirs this month.

Experts believe that trials likely wouldn’t be completed until the spring.

“But you’d like to have at least human data people you know, getting this vaccine, you see a clear and dramatic increase in neutralizing antibodies, and then at least you have a correlate of protection against BA.4 and BA.5,” he continued.

“You’re asking people to get a new product for which there’s no data,” Offit also told CNN.

“Mice data are not adequate to launch 100-plus-billion-dose effort.”

The booster shot was authorized by the FDA despite not having been tested on humans.

Pfizer’s preliminary findings were based on tests on eight mice.

The FDA based the EUA authorization on the testing of mice, data from current COVID-19 vaccines, and earlier iterations of boosters.

“Because if you don’t have that, if there’s not clear evidence of benefit, then it’s not fair I think to ask people to take a risk no matter how small,” Offit declared.

“The benefit should be clear.”

WATCH:

On September 21, Offit wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal titled: “CDC Oversells the ‘Bivalent’ Covid Shot.”

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone over 12 receive a ‘bivalent’ COVID-19 vaccine as a booster dose,” he wrote.

“But only a select group are likely to benefit, and the evidence to date doesn’t support the view that a bivalent vaccine containing omicron or its subvariants is better than the monovalent vaccine.

“The CDC risks eroding the public’s trust by overselling the new shot.”

Nevertheless, Americans are not rushing to get the latest booster shot, new figures have revealed.

Last Thursday, the CDC released data showing that an estimated 4.4 million Americans received the new booster.

That figure represents approximately 1.5% of people in the U.S. who are eligible to receive the injection.

SHOCK REPORT: Former Dem Intern Shot And Killed

(CBrief) – A tragic and apparently random murder of a former intern for a Democrat Congress member was caught on video.

It happened on Thursday in what police are now calling an unprovoked attack, after initially believing it was a robbery attempt, The Daily Mail reported.

Democrat Pennsylvania Rep. Brendan Boyle posted about the murder on his Facebook page while attacking gun violence in Philadelphia.

“I am heartsick to learn the senseless epidemic of gun violence has struck a member of my team, our former campaign intern Everett Beauregard,” the congressman said.

“Everett worked for my campaign during the 2018 election season. He made great contributions to our electoral victory that year.

“He was a nice, well liked, and purposeful young man with a bright future ahead of him. We will truly miss him and we grieve along with his family and friends during this difficult time,” he said.

Temple University, from which he recently graduated, also mourned the death of the young man.

“’We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of Temple alumnus Everett Beauregard, who was killed in West Philadelphia last night,” it said. “He had a very bright future ahead of him, and it is beyond disheartening knowing we will no longer be able to watch him soar alongside his fellow Owls.”

The Daily Mail reported:

Investigators released video that shows the gunman — a male with a slim build, wearing a dark hoodie, black pants and a medical-grade mask — pacing on 35th Street between Hamilton and Spring Garden streets.

The video shows the suspect’s hand in the pocket with the gun. As he walks, he reaches over with his free hand to adjust the weapon nervously.

He reaches Spring Garden Street at the end of the 400 block of 35th Street and looks behind him, then turns and comes back down the block, meeting Beauregard midblock.

As the former campaign worker passes the stoop of a townhouse, the suspect stops and turns back to where Beauregard just past and fires.

Gunshots ring out on the video, first one into the back of the victim’s neck and then the gunman breaks into a run and fires another shot after he passes the fatally wounded man who collapses to the ground.

Earlier this month Rep. Karen Bass, a Los Angeles mayoral candidate who was one President Joe Biden’s list of possible vice presidential candidates, home was robbed, CNN reported.

“Last night, I came home and discovered that my house had been broken into and burglarized. LAPD was called, and I appreciate their assistance,” the representative said.

“At this time, it appears that only two firearms, despite being safely and securely stored, were stolen. Cash, electronics and other valuables were not,” she said.

“It’s unnerving and, unfortunately, it’s something that far too many Angelenos have faced,” she said.

Bass is taking on Rick Caruso, who has a very famous backer, in the bid to become mayor.

Tesla, Space X and Starlink CEO Elon Musk has become a man who delves into politics in recent times and he in June he made his biggest dive into that world.

He officially Caruso, a former Republican, now Democrat, for mayor of Los Angeles.

“Los Angeles is fortunate to have someone like Rick Caruso running for mayor. He’s awesome,” he said.

“It is rare for me to endorse political candidates. My political leanings are moderate, so neither fully Republican nor Democrat, which I am confident is the case for most Americans. Executive competence is super underrated in politics – we should care about that a lot more!” he said.

Many have wondered if Caruso, who was a Republican three years ago, has really changed his positions to those of the Democrats or if he is doing what he has to do to win in the liberal city of Los Angeles.

Musk has been vocal about his politics in the past few months as he announced he has switched from voting for Democrats to now supporting Republicans.

The billionaire appeared on a podcast in May and gave his opinion on who he believes the “real president” is, Fox News reported.

“The real president is whoever controls the teleprompter,” he said. “The path to power is the path to the teleprompter.”

“I do feel like if somebody were to accidentally lean on the teleprompter, it’s going to be like Anchorman,” he said, which is a reference to the 2004 film in which Ron Burgundy, played by actor Will Ferrell, reads anything that is written on the teleprompter.

BREAKING: Liberals TERRIFIED CNN Will Be Sold To Fox News

(CBrief) – The head of Media Matters For America is “terrified” that CNN will sell to Fox News, leaving the Murdoch owned business in charge of a major swath of news coverage.

Many Democrats have been sounding the alarm as CNN has made a noted shift to becoming more centrist in its coverage.

The Media Matters head, Angelo Carusone spoke to SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah on Friday to voice his concerns,” Mediaite reported.

“Thing I really am afraid of is that it is honesty that they sell to Rupert Murdoch. I’m terrified of this. It is super, it is his white whale and I think that it doesn’t fit into Discovery’s portfolio in a meaningful way. I’ve always been afraid of this, and the posture of making the platform more appealing, more attractive, more neutral, I think weakens it enough that they say, ‘Look, it’s just not worth it. We didn’t get the returns on investment. It hasn’t turned the corner yet.’ You know, I don’t think they’re going to get the audience gains that they think they’re going to get, which is part of the strategy. And that’s a real problem, too. So at its core, I’m afraid that in the short term, we see some bad coverage out of them, some spots of bad coverage which actually have bigger harms when it comes from CNN. And then bigger… But longer term, I think that it actually weakens the business model of CNN enough that it makes them more susceptible to just being spun off. And that’s not great either,” he said.

“That’s interesting, I never thought about that last one…,” the host said.

“So I don’t think people realize how often Rupert Murdoch tries to buy CNN. It happens all the time. He did it and he made a really aggressive, year-long plus play in 2017 and a run at it in 2014. He’s made runs I did during the early 2000, and that matters because that’s how we got the Wall Street Journal. He tried to buy it half a dozen times before it, before he eventually convinced the Bancrofts, which were the owners of the Wall Street Journal, to sell it. So I don’t think it’s it’s insane or too far gone to say, nah, this guy doesn’t need to finance if he’s sitting on a mountain of cash that was supposed to be used and is earmarked for media acquisitions, they haven’t used it yet. It’s just I mean, there’s a mountain of cash. He doesn’t need the financing. He can pay for the deal in cash. He can overpay, which is what Rupert Murdoch always does. He always overpays, always, because he knows that it’s easier,” he said.

The interview comes the same week that CNN has made another major change to its network during a series of changes that have seen some of the network’s top talents gone.

In its most recent earthquake to the network, CNN host Don Lemon has lost his primetime show and will be moved to mornings as part of a host team as the current morning show “New Day” is being canceled, The Wrap reported.

Don Lemon will lose his primetime CNN show on weeknights to co-anchor the network’s reimagined morning show with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, the network announced Thursday.

The new morning show will debut later in the year with a new name, format, and set — and signals the end of “Don Lemon Tonight” after an eight-year run. CNN did not announce any plans for how it will fill Lemon’s primetime slot, which has long lagged behind Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” in the ratings.

John Berman and Brianna Keilar, who currently anchor the network’s ratings-challenged “New Day,” will shift to other roles at CNN later in the year.

It has been a time of change with the new ownership at CNN and it has affected more than Don Lemon.

Mere hours after he praised President Joe Biden’s anti-MAGA Republican speech, CNN White House Correspondent John Harwood was gone from the news network.

CNN has been undergoing changes with the idea of getting to a more centrist news style and away from partisan leaning, and that has meant that some CNN personalities have to go.

Neither the network nor Harwood said if he was fired, quit or it was a mutual decision, but the timing had many wondering if his praise of President Biden’s divisive speech was the cause.

Harwood said in a tweet, “personal news: today’s my last day at CNN proud of the work thanks to my colleagues i’ve been lucky to serve the best in American media – St. Petersburg Times, WSJ, NYT, the NBC family, CNN look forward to figuring out what’s next.”

BREAKING: George Soros CAUGHT Funding Nasty Lawsuit Against DeSantis

(Slay News) – A far-left group funded by radical billionaire George Soros is behind the lawsuit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for flying migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

As Slay News has been documenting, Republican Governor DeSantis changed the game last week by flying 50 illegal border crossers to the exclusive coastal Massachusetts island.

Martha’s Vineyard is considered a playground of America’s liberal elite and is where open-borders advocate Barack Obama has a sprawling 29-acre summer estate.

Despite having the capacity to house six million refugees in vacant mansions and lavish summer houses, the illegal border crossers were bused off Martha’s Vineyard in under 48 hours and sent to Joint Base Cape Cod.

A handful of illegal aliens flown to Martha’s Vineyard have since filed a class action lawsuit against DeSantis.

The suit alleges that the migrants’ Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights were violated.

The illegal aliens are being represented by lawyers at Alianza Americas.

Alianza Americas is an NGO (non-governmental organization) that has received nearly $1.4 million from George Soros’ Open Society Foundation from 2016 to 2020.

Most of the Soros funding to Alianza Americas has gone to promote an open border agenda between the United States, Mexico, and Central America.

The group also lobbies for pro-mass immigration policies in the U.S.

Since the migrants were bused off Martha’s Vineyard to Joint Base Cape Cod, some left-wing attorneys have claimed that arrivals remain “very traumatized” by being flown to the island.

However, many of the illegals have debunked these claims and said they want to return to the “paradise” of Martha’s Vineyard.

Some of the migrants even thanked DeSantis for sending them to the island.

Despite the backlash from elected Democrats and the open borders lobby, DeSantis has vowed to fly more illegal migrants to sanctuary jurisdictions and the doorsteps of the Democratic Party’s wealthiest and most well-connected donors.
