(BLP) – Many conservatives thought that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was a loyal soldier who served dutifully and honorably under President Donald Trump for many years in his cabinet.

Nothing could have been further from the truth.

Pompeo confirmed what had long been rumored during a meeting with his inner circle of supporters in Chicago earlier this week, according to sources at the meeting who confirmed to Politico.

“We’ve got a team in Iowa, a team in New Hampshire and South Carolina. And that’s not random. We are doing the things one would do to get ready,” Pompeo said.

Additionally, Pompeo is making the media rounds, including an appearance on Jesse Watters’ Fox News program to speak on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sending illegals up north to force liberal areas to deal with them.

Pompeo has made many remarks in recent months that show he is a neoconservative interloper who is subverting the America First cause for his own ends.

“By aiding Ukraine, we undermined the creation of a Russian-Chinese axis bent on exerting military and economic hegemony in Europe, in Asia and in the Middle East,” Pompeo said while giving remarks over the summer, defending the dangerous proxy war being waged with Russia that is costing the U.S. billions.

“I believe Ukraine has found its Washington in the embodiment of a single man. His name is Volodymyr Zelensky. He has led the world at a time of great peril,” he added.

“Associating with anti-Semitic neo-Nazis is not consistent with the conservative values I’ve defended for decades. Representative Taylor-Greene playing footsie with Nick Fuentes and his splinter movement is shameful,” Pompeo said in February, chiding MTG for speaking at an America First political conference.

In Pompeo’s most egregious betrayal of Trump, he hired Elliott Abrams – the disgraced war criminal who supported the Iraq War and perjured himself by lying to Congress over the Iran/Contra scandal – as the Venezuelan envoy despite Abrams’ long-stated goal for the GOP establishment to “seize the party machinery back immediately after the Trump defeat.”

“Do not allow the Republican convention to be a coronation wherein Trump and Trumpism are unchallenged. There’s no reason others who won many delegates, from Rubio to Cruz to Kasich, should not have their names put in nomination. The party needs to be reminded that there are deep divisions, and Trump needs to be reminded of how many in the party oppose and even fear his nomination,” Abrams wrote for the now defunct Weekly Standard, urging for an anti-democratic mutiny against Trump at the Republican National Convention in July 2016.

(CBrief) – A pair of federal judges delivered a striking blow to the Biden administration in two major cases.

A federal judge ordered the Biden administration to hand over communication documents between the federal government and big tech companies.

U.S. District Court Judge Terry Doughty, of the Western District of Louisiana, granted the order of discovery sought by Republican Attorneys General Eric Schmitt of Missouri and Jeff Landry of Louisiana.

President Joe Biden, members of his administration, and select social media companies must turn over documents and answer questions within the next 30 days during a discovery phase of a lawsuit alleging collusion to suppress freedom of speech, a court ruled.

The attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri filed a lawsuit in May alleging Biden and eight high-ranking members of his administration and the government colluded with and/or coerced social media companies Meta, Twitter, and YouTube to suppress “disfavored speakers, viewpoints, and content on social medial platforms.”

On Tuesday, Terry Doughty, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, ruled there is “good cause” for the discovery process and set a timetable, including specific deadlines for depositions.

The lawsuit alleges that social media companies labeled information as “misinformation” and “disinformation” in violation of the First Amendment and that the federal government went beyond its authority and the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security violated the Administrative Procedure Act.

The lawsuit also said that the now disbanded “Disinformation Governance Board” suppressed information involving the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 Presidential election, the lab-leak theory of COVID-19’s origin, the efficiency of masks and COVID-19 lockdowns, and election integrity.

Judge Doughty ordered White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and Dr. Anthony Fauci to turn over any emails they sent to social media companies about misinformation or the censorship of social media content.

“This Court believes Plaintiffs are entitled to external communications by Jean-Pierre and Dr. Fauci in their capacities as White House Press Secretary and Chief Medical Advisor to the President to third-party social media platforms,” Doughty wrote.

“The ruling is part of a lawsuit filed in May by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, accusing the Biden administration of working with social media companies to suppress free speech, particularly surrounding COVID-19 and elections. For the past four months, the attorneys general and the White House have been arguing over which documents need to be produced in the lawsuit,” Kansas City Star reported.

“The White House launched a campaign last year that aimed at spurring Facebook and other social media giants to do more to combat misinformation about COVID on their platforms, a move which angered many on the political right. Schmitt, who is the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Missouri, has often used his role as Missouri attorney general to file lawsuits against the Biden administration around issues that resonate with his conservative base,” the report added.

In a press release, Schmitt’s office celebrated the ruling.

“The American people deserve answers on how the federal government has colluded with social media companies to censor free speech on these major platforms,” Schmitt wrote. “We will continue to fight to uncover more of this vast censorship enterprise.”

“They don’t seem to want to be answering our questions because this is a climate change conference where they want net zero carbon emissions.

“But this produces a lot of carbon emissions,” she said.

Gates was greeted by a group of protesters at the entrance to the Semiahmoo Resort, according to GeekWire.

“We’re concerned about the Cascadia mega-region forming behind our backs,” said one of the protesters, Victoria Palmer, with the organization March for Freedom Washington.

The group opposes vaccine mandates.

“We’re concerned that it would be giving too much authority to the mega-region, and bypassing the Constitution.”

“We believe that there are public and private entities here today to basically carve up the resources of the new carbon economy,” Palmer said outside the event on Monday.

“And so we need to be aware of what’s going on here because this is going to be influencing Governor Inslee’s climate agenda.”

On the same day as the conference, the three largest commercial airports in the Cascadia Corridor released a joint statement to decarbonize the aviation sector leading the way “toward meeting aggressive net zero emissions and carbon neutrality goals.”

“As the largest three commercial airports in the Cascadia Corridor, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), Portland International Airport (PDX), and Vancouver International Airport (YVR) are aligned in our commitments to decarbonize the aviation sector and to being the greenest airports in North America,” according to the joint statement.

“Our shared carbon-reduction goals focus on four key categories: 1) sustainable aviation fuels, 2) airport facilities, 3) airfield operations, and 4) vehicle trips to and from airports by employees and travelers.”

Speaking during an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, Manchin said that the United States needs to finish the border wall started by President Donald Trump in order to tackle the illegal immigration crisis.

Baier asked Manchin about Vice President Kamala Harris recently claiming that the border is “secure.”

“It’s wrong,” Manchin fired back.

“She’s dead wrong on that. And I have said this,” he continued.

“If we don’t secure it — I voted every time for the wall.

“But we need the wall and a lot more — technology, more agents.

“The 2013 immigration bill was still the best piece of legislation I think that we have ever had before us.

“We couldn’t get it passed through the Republican House at that time because of some politics involved there.”

“And they — the amnesty, people were shouting the word amnesty,” he noted.

“That piece of legislation would have corrected everything we have going wrong.

“But, for anybody — the vice president, president, anybody — to say our borders are secured, that is not accurate.

In a recent letter addressed to Biden, the Arizona Sheriff’s Association slammed the administration for its attitude regarding illegal immigration and expressed its lack of confidence in CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus.

The letter cited the fact that curbing the number of illegal immigrants and illicit drugs crossing the border had been a priority for law enforcement for decades.

“Unfortunately, the current administration and Commissioner Magnus do not appear to share the priority and the effects are being felt in Arizona and across the country,” the letter charged.

Turning to the drug problem exacerbated by the porous nature of current border enforcement, the letter stated, “Massive amounts of highly lethal drugs are being moved across the border and peddled to our children.

“Fentanyl is a near-ubiquitous ingredient in illegal drugs being distributed today and is causing the deaths of countless individuals and destroying families at a rapid pace.”

After noting that violent crime is rising throughout the country, the letter segued to Magnus and the Biden administration.

“Since Commissioner Magnus was appointed nearly nine months ago, we have continued to see an influx of illegal immigrants and illicit drugs cross our Southern border,” the letter notes.

“What we have not seen is an increased partnership from the federal government including CBP to assist local law enforcement in preventing this activity.”

“Border security is one of the core missions of the CBP and we feel that the effort being put towards addressing this mission is woefully inadequate,” the letter stated.

(JTNews) – In a bombshell revelation, Special Prosecutor John Durham revealed Tuesday in court filings that the FBI paid a Russian businessman as a confidential human source in the investigation of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign even though it had prior concerns that businessman was tied to Moscow’s intelligence services.

Durham persuaded the federal judge in the upcoming trial of Igor Danchenko to unseal a motion revealing that Danchenko, the primary source of the now-discredited Steele dossier, was paid by the FBI as a confidential human source for more than three years until the fall of 2020 when he was terminated for lying to agents.

Danchenko is charged with five counts of lying to the bureau during that relationship and faces trial next month in federal court in the Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C.

“In March 2017, the FBI signed the defendant up as a paid confidential human source of the FBI,” Durham’s unsealed court filing disclosed for the first time. “The FBI terminated its source relationship with the defendant in October 2020. As alleged in further detail below, the defendant lied to FBI agents during several of these interviews.”

The revelation means that the FBI first fired former MI6 agent Christopher Steele, the author of the Hillary Clinton-funded dossier, as a human source in November 2016 for having unauthorized contacts with the news media. And it then turned around a few months later and hired Steele’s primary informer to work with the bureau even after determining some of Danchenko’s statements in the Steele dossier were uncorroborated or exaggerated.

Even more stunning, Durham confirmed that the FBI had concerns about Danchenko’s ties to Russian intelligence a decade earlier, opening up a counterintelligence probe on him after learning he was trying to buy classified information from the Obama administration.

“As has been publicly reported, the defendant was the subject of an FBI counterintelligence investigation from 2009 to 2011,” Durham wrote. “In late 2008, while the defendant was employed by a prominent think tank in Washington, D.C., the defendant engaged two fellow employees about whether one of the employees might be willing or able in the future to provide classified information in exchange for money.

“According to one employee (‘Employee-1’), the defendant believed that he (Employee-1) might be in a position to enter the incoming Obama administration and have access to classified information. During this exchange, the defendant informed Employee-1 that he had access to people who would be willing to pay money in exchange for classified information. Employee-1 passed this information to a U.S. government contact, and the information was subsequently passed to the FBI.

“Based on this information, the FBI initiated a ‘preliminary investigation’ into the defendant. The FBI converted its investigation into a ‘full investigation’ after learning that the defendant (1) had been identified as an associate of two FBI counterintelligence subjects and (2) had previous contact with the Russian Embassy and known Russian intelligence officers.”

The FBI closed that counterintelligence probe in 2010, but only after it “incorrectly believed that the defendant had left the country,” Durham told the court.

Before the FBI hired Danchenko as a confidential human source, it detected more troubling behavior, prosecutors told the court.

“During his January 2017 interview with the FBI, the defendant initially denied having any contact with Russian intelligence or security services but later — as noted by the agents, contradicted himself and stated that he had contact with two individuals who he believed to be connected to those services,” Durham wrote.

The filing asked the court for permission to use evidence at trial of other lies that Danchenko allegedly told the FBI that are not charged as part of his indictment. The prosecutor argued the new evidence would show a pattern and how Danchenko’s deception led to false narratives in the Steele dossier and the news media, including the salacious and untrue allegation that Trump had consorted with prostitutes in Moscow.

Durham plans to show the jury evidence that Danchenko made “uncharged false statements to the FBI regarding his purported receipt of information reflecting Donald’s Trump’s alleged salacious sexual activity at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Moscow,” the filing said.

Prosecutors will provide evidence that Danchenko never received such information and plan to introduce testimony that members of the Moscow hotel staff never made any claims about Trump’s behavior such as those the Steele dossier attributed to them.

“The Government has interviewed and expects to call at trial the then-general manager of the Ritz-Carlton Moscow, Bernd Kuhlen,” according to the filing, “a German citizen who does not speak Russian (and whom the Steele Reports describe as ‘Source E,’ a senior (western) member of staff at the hotel.)

“Mr. Kuhlen does not recall ever meeting or speaking with the defendant in June 2016, or at any time. Mr. Kuhlen also has denied (1) having knowledge of the Ritz-Carlton allegations at any time prior to their being reported in the media, (2) discussing such allegations with, or hearing them from, the defendant.”
