Black voters are increasingly abandoning the Democratic Party due to mounting concerns regarding President Joe Biden’s lack of public presence and mishandling of the economy.
The multitude of problems associated with Biden and the Democrats have led black voters to make a significant shift towards the right, particularly towards President Donald Trump.
Quenton Jordan, a resident of South Chicago and the vice president of the Black Conservative Federation, recently engaged with members of the black community in the Windy City. His objective was to assess their level of support for both Trump and Biden, as these two candidates are expected to compete in the upcoming general election in November.
“Biden ain’t doing sh*t,” one disgruntled voter told Jordan.
“We need to get rid of [Biden].”
On the contrary, the response to Trump was way more positive.
One voter went to expain Trump: “He’s a businessman.
“He’s going to think [in terms of] business, and Biden is a racist.”
A third complained, “I haven’t even seen Biden yet.”
During an interview with Fox News, Jordan discussed the feedback he gathered from black voters during the man-on-the-street interview. He noted that the responses he received overwhelmingly indicated a rising sense of frustration among them towards both the current administration and the Democratic Party in general.
“They don’t see Democrats any other time aside from when it’s time for elections, and they felt as if, although Trump may have not been directly in their communities, he was visible,” he said.
“He’s on the news every day, he’s taking interviews, answering tough questions.
“They just don’t see that from Biden.
“And I don’t think that [frustration is isolated] just where we are in Chicago because we’ve gone across the country, and we’ve had these types of conversations, whether it be like the video style that we did or focus groups in the communities,” he added.
