(CBrief) – SiriusXM podcaster and former Fox News star Megyn Kelly has triggered the left anew after she announced a major policy change of sorts on her Friday program.
Kelly, who has become a major champion for women’s rights as the left continues to push transgenderism, especially in high school and collegiate sports, said as “Pride Month” kicked off that she is through referring to people using their “preferred pronouns.”
She began the show segment by noting the cover of Glamour UK magazine this month, which features a photo of a woman who is pregnant but identifies as a man.
“I, for one, will not be celebrating this dishonest,” Kelly said. “In fact, I’m in a very different place when it comes to this entire issue.”
After declaring she would no longer use “preferred pronouns,” Kelly explained in detail how she was an early proponent for “trans rights” and the associated language and words the trans community insisted upon. “I didn’t see any harm in it,” she said.
Later in the segment, she said her life these days is guided by “truth and reality,” therefore, “I will not use preferred pronouns, a decision motivated by a growing alarm over women’s rights and the safety of children.”
She said she would use “kindness and empathy” when speaking to a trans person but most likely would try to avoid any situation where she would have to use a pronoun.
“But I will not take this gateway drug anymore,” she declared, “because I have a daughter. Because I am a woman. An adult human female.”
Several Twitter users agreed with Kelly and praised her decision to stand up solidly for women’s rights while also pledging not to intentionally harm or insult anyone who identifies as trans.
When I lost my job over this in 2015, I remember feeling so betrayed to watch Megyn play along with this crap. Seven years later, this is so healing to watch. Thank you, @megynkelly , for the humility and the courage it took to speak this. 😭😭 https://t.co/1HTPhPLrgk

It’s been a tough & sometimes lonely road for those of us who saw through this early, but what matters now is that enough people see the truth before our ability to discern & stand up for it is taken from us.
