As the contenders for the Republican presidential nomination withdraw from the race individually, it becomes increasingly apparent that one of the two remaining candidates will soon follow suit.
At the very minimum, when your own congresswoman publicly endorses another candidate instead of supporting her constituent, it is evident that your campaign is facing difficulties.
Former Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina, one of the two GOP candidates who are still vying for the nomination alongside former President Donald Trump, resides in the district of Republican Representative Nancy Mace in the state of Palmetto.
On Monday, just a day before the New Hampshire primary, Mace declared her endorsement for Trump.
“I don’t see eye to eye perfectly with any candidate,” the congresswoman said in a social media post. “And until now I’ve stayed out of it. But the time has come to unite behind our nominee.
“To be honest, it’s been a complete s*** show since he left the White House,” she said of Trump.
“Our country needs to reverse all the damage Joe Biden has done,” Mace continued. “By every barometer, our lives and our nation were better under President Trump. The economy was booming, our border was locked down and our nation and her allies were safer because our adversaries feared him.
“Donald Trump’s record in his first term should tell every American how vital it is he be returned to office.”
Today I’m endorsing Donald J. Trump for President.
I don’t see eye to eye perfectly with any candidate. And until now I’ve stayed out of it. But the time has come to unite behind our nominee.
To be honest, it’s been a complete shit show since he left the White House.

According to The Associated Press, there was a disagreement between the South Carolina congresswoman and Trump following his departure from the White House.
Mace criticized him after the Capitol incursion on January 6, 2021, stating that all his accomplishments in office were undone in a short period of time. In response, the former president referred to her as an “absolutely terrible candidate” during her re-election campaign.
Haley, who campaigned for Mace in 2022 and praised her as a resilient individual on television, must be affected by Mace’s endorsement of Trump. This occurred when Mace was facing a candidate endorsed by Trump, Katie Arrington. Mace’s endorsement of Haley’s primary opponent took place the day before the New Hampshire primary, where Haley is relying on a strong performance to improve her slim chances of securing the GOP nomination.
Considering that even some of her previous allies are now supporting Trump, it appears unlikely that Haley will achieve this.
