Nikki Haley, a favored candidate among Democrats and the Uniparty, has expended a staggering $76.4 million in the initial three primary contests for her ill-fated campaign to challenge President Donald Trump for the Republican 2024 nomination.
In her home state of South Carolina, Haley suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Trump, adding to her previous losses in the GOP primary contests in Iowa and New Hampshire. Despite these setbacks, Haley inexplicably refuses to withdraw from the race, hindering the Republican Party from moving forward with their clear choice for nominee – Trump.
The exorbitant amount of money spent in the first three primaries of the 2024 cycle underscores the robust grassroots support that Trump enjoys nationwide, as noted by Breitbart. Furthermore, this significant expenditure reveals the resources that the GOP did not allocate towards defeating Democrat President Joe Biden.
Prior to the election on Saturday, Haley asserted that she would remain in the race until Super Tuesday on March 5. Even after being soundly defeated by Trump in her home state, Haley remains resolute, declaring that she will not give up, despite losing all five Republican nominating contests in 2024 thus far. During a speech at her watch party event in Charleston, Haley assured her Democrat supporters that she will persist in her campaign.
“I know 40% is not 50%, but I also know 40% is not some tiny group,” Haley said.
“There are huge numbers of voters in our Republican primary who are saying they want an alternative.
“I said earlier this week that no matter what happens in South Carolina, I wouldn’t continue to run — I’m a woman of my word.”
Nikki Haley has now blown more than $76 in a Presidential race she knows she can’t win. Following Haley’s loss in South Carolina on Saturday, the amount of funds she will be able to secure for her campaign in the upcoming weeks remains uncertain.
Haley and her super PAC were reported to have only $15 million in cash reserves by the end of January, as per Federal Election Commission records. The donor community decided to cease all future financial support for Haley’s campaign in January, following her defeat in the crucial Republican primary in New Hampshire, as confirmed by several advisors to major political donors who spoke to the Washington Post.
Reid Hoffman, a billionaire Democratic donor who co-founded LinkedIn and was a visitor to Jeffrey Epstein’s controversial “Pedophile Island,” recently announced that he has temporarily halted contributions to PACs supporting Haley.
“We invested in Governor Haley when we thought she had a shot of winning,” Hoffman adviser Dmitri Mehlhorn told the Wall Street Journal.
“I’d need to see a new case, with new evidence, to persuade me that more money could help her win now.
The financial setbacks are expected to increase for Haley, one political megadonor adviser told the Post.
“Without a New Hampshire win, she doesn’t have the momentum she needed to win South Carolina,” the adviser said.
“And without a lane to South Carolina, she has no chance on Super Tuesday.”
