During a firefighters’ ceremony, New York Attorney General Letitia James faced a disruptive crowd that booed and heckled her. The noise of the crowd shouting “Trump! Trump! Trump!” nearly drowned out her speech as she approached the podium to pay tribute to the swearing-in of the FDNY’s first African-American woman chaplain, Reverend Pamela Holmes, and other first responders.
“Oh c’mon, we’re in a House of God. Simmer down,” James told the rowdy crowd. “Thank you for getting it out of your system.”
