CNN has adopted a fresh approach in handling guests who speak truths that the network may not be willing to accept. This approach involves interrupting them and then issuing threats to terminate the interview. During a recent interview with Rep. Beth Van Duyne of Texas, CNN anchor Brianna Keilar took her refusal to acknowledge the Biden administration’s mishandling of the border crisis to a new level.
Instead of engaging in a debate about Van Duyne’s claim that the House must pass a border security bill, the interview turned into a one-sided spectacle, with the host monopolizing the conversation and controlling its direction.
