Fox News host Harris Faulkner engaged in a contentious discussion with Democratic strategist Richard Fowler on Tuesday regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’ reluctance to hold press conferences.
According to reports from CNN, Harris has agreed to participate in a debate against former President Donald Trump in Atlanta on October 23. Fowler argued that this upcoming debate would provide a more effective platform for the public to hear from the vice president, who has not conducted a press conference since she succeeded President Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee after his announcement on July 21 to withdraw from the reelection race.
“Look, I think we do need to hear more from the vice president,” Fowler said after Faulkner mentioned the lack of press conferences. “But I can tell you, what’s better than a press conference is a debate. The vice president last week proposed another debate.”
“Actually, that’s not true,” Faulkner responded. “It wasn’t true with the last one and if you’re gonna make that, let’s put one on Fox and even the score of fact checking alone. You know we can do this.”
