Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in Arizona, clearly expressed her strong disapproval of the border bill that was negotiated by Senator Kyrsten Sinema by symbolically discarding it into a trash can.
During a news conference Lake said, “We weren’t sure what was going to happen with this bill today. We just got some good news that the Senate, hearing the loud demands and cries of the American people, have looked at this 300 pages of pure garbage and said, ‘we’re not going to let this bill see the light of day.’”
Lake discarded the bill into a waste bin adjacent to her podium, referring to it as the “Invasion Authorization Act” in a post on social media.
