BOOM: Biden Hit With HUMILIATING Fact-Check

President Joe Biden’s official Twitter account has received another embarrassing “fact check” after “context” was added to a tweet regarding a claim made about falling unemployment during his two years in office.

“The White House bragged about reduced unemployment claims since President Joe Biden took office, pointing out that they had declined from 18.8 million to 1.4 million over the course of his presidency,” The Western Journal noted on Monday. “The tweet made no reference to unemployment stemming from coronavirus, and the ‘Community Note’ that was inserted made that important distinction.”

The fact check noted: “Context: COVID rapidly drove significantly higher than normal claims beginning in 3/20, peaking at 33M in 7/20, and then gradually declining to today. For reference, the average from 2017-2019 was 1.8M.”

WATCH: Karine Jean-Pierre SNAPS At Fox News Reporter

(CBrief) – White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre did snap at Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich after she accused the reporter of “mischaracterizing” her comments about Twitter with Elon Musk as the CEO.

“Real fast, Karine? Just real quick, on Twitter, because you guys said you’re keeping a close eye on Elon Musk’s ownership. And I’ve — this is the first time we’ve talked to you since he released the files a few days ago. Is it the White House view that decisions at Twitter were made appropriately in terms of decisions to censor this reporting ahead of the election?” the reporter said.

“Let me — you see — you mischaracterize, actually, what I — what I actually said, and took it out of context when you asked your question,” the press secretary snapped back.

“Look, when I answered the question — and I already — I actually already addressed this — about how the White House and the administration is seeing what’s happening on Twitter, we were — we follow also what’s going on just like you guys are reporting it, just like you guys are seeing,” she said.

“And what I was commenting to is like, yes, we’re seeing what is happening, just like you all are seeing what’s happening with Twitter. So, just want to clear that up because you definitely mischaracterized what I said or put it out of context.

“And so, can you ask your question again?” she said.

In November during a White House press briefing a reporter asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre if the administration was monitoring the situation at Twitter for “misinformation.”

“Just a question about Twitter. You know, there’s a researcher at Stanford who says that this is a critical moment, really, in terms of ensuring that Twitter does not become a vector for misinformation. I mean, are you concerned about the — you know, Elon Musk says there are more and more subscribers coming online? Are you concerned about that? And what tools do you have? Who is it at the White House that is really keeping track of this?” Reuters reporter Andrea Shalalsaid.

“So, look, this is something that we’re certainly keeping an eye on. And, look, we — you know, we have always been very clear and — that when it comes to social media platforms, it is their responsibility to make sure that when it comes to misinformation, when we — when it comes to the hate that we’re seeing, that they take action, that they continue to take action,” the press secretary said.

“Again, we’re all keeping a close eye on this. We’re all monitoring what’s — what’s currently occurring. And we see — you know, we see it with our own eyes of what you all are reporting and, just for ourselves, what’s happening on Twitter,” she said.

“But again, social media companies have a responsibility to prevent their platforms from being used by any user to incite violence, especially violence directed at individual communities, as we have been seeing. And the President has been very clear on calling that out. He’ll continue to do that. And we’re going to continue to monitor the situation,” she said.

This caught the attention of Musk who appeared to be furious with it.

“Absolutely insane watching The Machine go after @elonmusk for defending free speech. This whole exchange is kabuki theater, from the ridiculous leading question by the ‘journalist’ to KJP’s obviously pre-planned response,” journalist Dave Rubin said.

“Why are so many in the media against free speech? This is messed up,” the Twitter CEO said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy did not react approvingly to the Biden administration’s claim it would be closely watching Twitter now that billionaire and free speech advocate Elon Musk has taken it over.

McCarthy, a California Republican who is on pace to become the next Speaker of the House after his party won a majority in the chamber during the midterms, was asked to respond to the press secretary’s statement by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy.

“What do you make of the White House saying they are ‘keeping an eye on’ Twitter under Elon Musk’s ownership and leadership?” Doocy asked during a press conference outside the White House following a meeting between President Joe Biden and congressional leaders.

“That is offensive to me. Government’s gonna go after someone who wants to have free speech? What do they have to look at Twitter about?” McCarthy began.

“Do they want to go more after the American public about whether they can have an opinion on something? I think the American public have spoken on this. I think our First Amendment stands up and I think they should stop picking on Elon Musk,” he added.

“You know, Elon Musk has succeeded in many places. I’d bet on him more than government going after you. And I one thing I would say when we talked about accountability, we will no longer let government go after people simply because of their political views,” he said.

JUST IN: Elon Musk WINS As Advertisers All Come Rushing Back To Twitter

(SNews) – As Elon Musk continues to roll out his free speech agenda on Twitter, the company’s biggest advertisers have started to return, and even ramp up their spending.

When Musk first announced his intention to buy the company earlier this year, “woke” companies joined with leftist celebrities and politicians in pushing back against his plan to end censorship on the social media platform.

When the Tesla CEO finalized his deal to buy the company in October, several of Twitter’s biggest advertisers “paused” their ad spending to protest Musk’s free speech plans.

However, under Musk’s leadership, Twitter has been hitting record highs with the number of users signing up and using the platform on a daily basis.

As Twitter continues to grow, advertisers are now quietly returning.

On Saturday, Musk confirmed that Apple is now resuming its ad spending on his social media platform.

In a Twitter Spaces conversation, in which he chatted with about 90,000 people, Musk said Apple had “fully resumed” its advertising, according to Bloomberg.

He also noted that Apple is Twitter’s largest advertiser.

Bloomberg said those were the only references Musk made to Apple during the two-hour event.

A second major advertiser may also be ready to resume its advertising on Twitter.

Zoe Schiffer, the editor at Platform, tweeted that Amazon will be returning to Twitter full throttle.

She also noted that Amazon plans to increase its spending budget.

“Amazon is also planning to resume advertising on Twitter at about $100m a year pending some security tweaks to the company’s ads platform, per a source familiar with the situation,” Schiffer tweeted.

“More information on this per a source familiar: Amazon continued advertising on Twitter throughout the recent turmoil, although some campaigns were paused.

“The company is looking to increase [its] ad spend to $100m a year, as stated in my prior tweet.”

Apple was Twitter’s top advertiser during the first quarter of the year, according to The Washington Post.

The report said Apple spent about $48 million that quarter, which made up about 4 percent of Twitter’s revenue.

Last week, Musk wrote that Apple was threatening to remove Twitter from its App Store, as Slay News reported.

After a face-to-face meeting Wednesday with Apple CEO Tim Cook, Musk said the issue was “resolved.”

Musk had also indicated at the time that Apple was cutting back its advertising.

However, The New York Times noted that Apple temporarily put its ads on hiatus after the November 19 Colorado Springs shooting.

The report adds that advertisers do this often to avoid having their products appear near news of a tragedy.

On Saturday, Musk thanked those advertisers who have returned to the platform since he took over.

Recognizing that the platform needs to rebuild its advertiser base, Twitter has embarked on a deal to woo advertisers, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The Journal reported that advertisers who agree to increase their ads by at least $500,000 will have that matched by Twitter, dollar for dollar.

Advertisers who commit to lower amounts of advertising would get that matched but at a lower level.

RED ALERT: Newt Gingrich Sounds The Alarm, Issues Stark WARNING

(CBrief) – Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has a message for Republicans and they would be wise to heed it.

After a disappointing performance in the midterms where a red wave was expected the former Speaker said much of the credit goes to President Joe Biden because he has been successful at doing what liberals want him to do.

He said that the president is doing well by his own way of measuring his success, even though it is not what the majority of Americans would see as success, in a column on his website.

“Like most Americans, I do not approve of the job he is doing. Like virtually all conservatives and Republicans, I deeply oppose his policies. They are clearly weakening America and strengthening our enemies. And, again, like most Americans, I oppose the woke policies which are undermining and threatening to destroy popular, unique, shared American culture,” the former Speaker said.

“However, conservatives’ hostility to the Biden administration on our terms tends to blind us to just how effective Biden has been on his terms. He has only built upon and fortified the left-wing Big Government Socialist woke culture system,” he said.

He said that Biden’s strategy of staying “in the basement” and away from public scrutiny worked for him in winning the 2020 presidential election and that he got key legislation passed with a tie in the Senate and an “amazingly narrow four-vote majority in the U.S. House. He said that Biden was able to add “trillions in new spending, while the most recent bill on “sexual rights overriding all other rights” passed with some GOP support.

Despite Biden’s poor handling of the economy and the significant increase in crimes along with the ongoing border crisis, his White House team and Democrats nevertheless executed a strategy of “polarizing Americans against Donald Trump supporters” to come out with one of the “best first-term off-year elections in history.”

He added:

We dislike Biden so much, we pettily focus on his speaking difficulties, sometimes strange behavior, clear lapses of memory, and other personal flaws. Our aversion to him and his policies makes us underestimate him and the Democrats.

But remember: Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan both preferred to be underestimated. Both wanted people to think of them as pleasant – but not dangerous. They found being underestimated was a major asset. While people laughed at them, they were busy achieving their goals and getting their programs implemented.

Biden has achieved something similar.

In March he aid Vice President Kamala Harris’s speaking blunders are a reason to pray for President Joe Biden’s health.

Gingrich told Fox News’s Sean Hannity that Harris’s repetitive ”the passage of time” remarks — where she said the phrase at least four times within the span of a minute while speaking in Louisiana — highlight an incoherence on her part.

“First of all, if you want a strong reason to pray for the health of the president of the United States, you are reminded again today that the region is the vice president. Not totally incoherent. He may or may not have cognitive decline problems at his age but at her age, she’s just dumb,” Gingrich said.

“Let’s be clear. Kamala Harris might be the dumbest person ever elected vice president in American history. And that’s why people keep resigning. If you are a national security advisor and you were competent and you worked hard and you knew what you are doing, and you watched her in Poland come up to break up laughing when she’s asked about Ukrainian refugees? You’d have a sense of total humiliation. So I’m not surprised that the particular advisor resigned. Because it’s very clear that Kamala Harris should never, ever, be allowed to leave the country,” he added.

“I think we have never seen a national political figure — not just the vice president, but a national political figure — who is as self-destructive as Kamala Harris. I mean, you watch her day after day, you watch her go to Poland, break up laughing in a press conference with the Polish president when she is asked about the refugees from Ukraine. You see her tenth person leave her staff, who was, by the way, the National security advisor who was with her in Poland, who must have been totally embarrassed and demoralized by watching her break up laughing when talking about the Ukrainian refugees. And you watch other things she’s done,” he continued.

“And I thought that she was an insurance policy to make sure that nobody tried to replace Biden no matter how bad his cognitive problems, but I’m beginning to think that she is like Spiro Agnew, who turned out to be so bad that when he got replaced, he set the stage for Nixon to be replaced,” Gingrich said.

He continued, “And I have a hunch that she is on a very, very short fuse right now because I think most Americans realize that the prospect of her being president is genuinely terrifying. I mean, it’s bad enough to think about Biden being president when he is clearly not totally in touch with reality, but the idea of being replaced by Kamala, I think, is astonishingly frightening.”

BREAKING: Federal Court Hands Biden Another DEVASTATING Loss

(CBrief) – A federal appeals court has dealt another blow to a major Biden administration initiative. On Thursday, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans upheld a ruling issued in October by U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman of the Northern District of Texas in which he struck down President Joe Biden’s student loan debt relief action as unconstitutional.

The ruling from the three-judge panel allows Pittman’s ruling to remain in force until the case is heard by the full appeals court.

The Western Journal explains: “Biden announced in an executive order in August that his administration would forgive up to $10,000 in student loan debt for individuals making less than $125,000 a year, or couples whose incomes are below $250,000. Pell Grant recipients were eligible for up to $20,000 in debt forgiveness under Biden’s order. The Congressional Budget Office has estimated the plan would cost $400 billion, according to Reuters. Although forgiveness is uncertain, the Biden administration has put repayment on hold, extending a freeze on payments that began during the COVID-19 pandemic. Payments had been scheduled to resume Dec. 31.”

Pittman, in his ruling, noted: “No one can plausibly deny that it is either one of the largest delegations of legislative power to the executive branch or one of the largest exercises of legislative power without congressional authority in the history of the United States.”

He added: “In this country, we are not ruled by an all-powerful executive with a pen and a phone. Instead, we are ruled by a Constitution that provides for three distinct and independent branches of government.”

“The Court is not blind to the current political division in our country. But it is fundamental to the survival of our Republic that the separation of powers as outlined in our Constitution be preserved. And having interpreted the HEROES Act, the Court holds that it does not provide ‘clear congressional authorization’ for the Program proposed by the Secretary,” he added.

“Whether the Program constitutes good public policy is not the role of this Court to determine. Still, no one can plausibly deny that it is either one of the largest delegations of legislative power to the executive branch, or one of the largest exercises of legislative power without congressional authority in the history of the
United States,” the judge continued.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear arguments on the legality of Biden’s order, which critics say amounts to an unconstitutional expenditure of hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars that Congress never approved.

“The decision tees up a high-stakes battle at the high court early next year that will decide the fate of Biden’s sweeping plan to provide up to $20,000 of debt relief to tens of millions of Americans who owe federal student loans,” Politico reported.

“The court on Thursday deferred a ruling on the administration’s emergency request to immediately reinstate its debt relief program. Instead, the court said, the justices will hear arguments on the matter next year,” the outlet continued.

Politico went on to report that putting the case on the current docket means that a decision will come by next June, if not sooner, adding:

The case that the justices have agreed to hear involves a challenge from six Republican-led states: Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, and South Carolina. The states argue the debt relief plan will reduce tax revenues or other funding that is related to state-related entities that own, manage or invest in federal student loans. The Supreme Court said it would address two questions: whether the Republican attorneys general have standing to bring the case in the first place and “whether the plan exceeds the Secretary’s statutory authority or is arbitrary and capricious.”

“Biden announced the program in August. He relied on the Higher Education Relief Opportunities for Students Act of 2003 (known as the HEROES Act), a law passed in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks that allows the federal government to make changes to student-loan programs to respond to national emergencies,” noted SCOTUS Blog in a Thursday post after the justices agreed to take the case.
